Deuces Wild Poker

Doug: Welcome back. Time for one more game of Deuces Wild Poker with our last champ, Andy Silikovitz. Andy, already you have CY$489,875. But four lucky picks could earn you much more.

Doug: You saw how David played it. Same rules apply to you. The computer's shuffled the deuces and outlaws on the board. But there's still one outlaw in the top row, two in the second, three in the third and four in the bottom row.

Pick a number from each row, draw four deuces and avoid all ten outlaws -- and you win CY$1,000,000.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Let's get to work -- and start by picking a number on the top row for the Deuce of Spades.

Andy: 3

Doug: Starting with Dale Earnhardt, Sr.'s intimidating number. Good start?

(dings; audience applause)

Doug: Yes. We'll deal out your deuces after you pick a number from the bottom row. Right now, let's concentrate on the second row. Two outlaws to bypass. Going for the Deuce of Hearts here.

Andy: 9.

Doug: This really should be the last time I do this -- unless I host another game involving (impersonating Neil Everett) number 9, number 9, number 9.

(scattered laughter from the crowd)

(outlaw says "YEEEEE-hawwww!") (audience groan(audience groans)

Doug: Oh no! Terribly sorry. Million's out of play. Let's try to improve the odds on winning 50-grad. Next row down. Fifty-fifty shot at winning the Deuce of Clubs.

Andy: 15

Doug: Sticking with that column. Let's get him another deuce.

(outlaw says "YEEEEE-hawwww!") (audience groans)

Doug: Rats! Well -- still one deuce for you. Let's hope the Deuceof Diamonds can be added to your hand. Four outlaws to bypass. Which number?

Andy: 21

Doug: Ah, 21. Those of you who remember The *OLD* Big Risk recall that was a great number there. Is it here?

(outlaw says "YEEEEE-hawwww!") (audience groans)

Doug: Darn. *One* wild Deuce to play with. Let's reveal where the other seven outlaws were waiting to strike.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: And -- ah -- yeah. If you picked all the numbers in the fourth column, you'd be a millionaire. But, you did win one deuce.

Doug: There it is on the board with D.J. Now let's bring on the first two cards from a new deck you cut during the break.

Doug: There they are. As before, you'll pick one card; the other card then is discarded. We'll continue playing like that until you've drawn your fourth natural card.

Doug: And I sure hope you gave them a great cut -- because if you draw four cards of the same suit and they're all higher than a 9, you win CY$40,000. (audience cheers) So which card are ya starting with -- left or right?

Andy: Left card.

Doug: The left card. I hope you're getting off to a great start with the left card.

D.J.: The Ace of Diamonds.

(scattered cheers)

Doug: Well that defines your mission.

Doug: Draw the 10 *and* two face cards of Diamonds -- or get all the face cards of Diamonds -- and you'll punctuate this run with CY$40,000. Next two cards, please.

Doug: And there they are. Left or right?

Andy: Right card.

Doug: The right card. A face card or 10 of Diamonds, please, Deej.

(audience groans)

D.J.: Right rank, right color, wrong suit. King of Hearts. Sorry.

Doug: And with that, we're going the food chain in a hurry.

Doug: Best you can hope for is CY$4000 for quads. Next two cards, please.

Doug: There they are. Left or right?

Andy: Left card.

Doug: Okie doke -- another Ace or King, please.

(more groans)

D.J.: Queen of Spades.

Doug: E to the gads. Andy, another few notches down the food chain.

Doug: Well, here's the situation. A Jack or 10 would give you a straight for CY$1500. Anything higher than a Jack would give you trips for CY$1000. A 9 -- *normally* would mean nothing. But if you do draw a 9, I'll make it worth CY$500.

I don't want anyone to zonk out of the last Deuces Wild round on our show.

Doug: So there they are. The last two cards of our decade-long run of Net Poker. Let's hope for a Jack or 10. Last time I get to ask this -- left or right?

Andy: Right.

Doug: All right. Will the right card ice Andy's cake with CY$1500?

(audience applause)

D.J.: The Jack of Clubs.

Doug: There we go. Well, we can't send you out the door with a millon. But as Deej places the last card on the board.

(audience cheers) (smooth jazz theme plays)

Doug: Yeah, look at that total -- CY$491,375 -- including that new Ferrari you won on the last show. One more time, a big hand for one of the biggest winners of all time -- Andy Silikovitz.

(more cheers)

Doug: Back to put a nice bow on top of it all -- after this.
