(audience cheers)

Scarlett: And now, David and Melanie try to stay in the game in 5-Card Poker. Back to Doug Morris and Net Poker.

Doug: Thanks, Scarlett. David, Melanie, time to go heads up as we play 5-Card Poker and Parenthetical Jukebox

PARENTHETICAL JUKEBOX

Doug: Titles of songs throughout the years have included at least one word surrounded by parentheses -- such as this one by Beyonce...

Beyonce
"Single Ladies (???)"

Doug: ...what you have to do is correctly identify the word or words in parentheses in the song title. In this case, the correct answer is "Put A Ring On It".

Each time you chime in with the right answer, you earn 10 points and a choice of one of two cards for your hand. Since we *are* dealing with portions of titles, the exact word or words surrounded by the parentheses must be given -- or else the 10 points and control of the cards go to your opponent.

After you each have four cards, we then play a 15-point blind card title. High hand wins 25 points.

David, you finished second in the Poker Run. That means we let you cut the cards during the break. Here are the first two cards from the top of that deck.

D.J.: The Jack of Spades and the Ace of Clubs.

Doug: And -- I guess now's a good time to mention a royal flush in this round makes you a millionaire. With that -- here's your first artist and title.

Nine Days
"Absolutely (???)"

(David buzzes in)

Doug: David.

David: Story of a girl

Doug: That's right.

DAVID
MELANIE

(ding; audience applause)

Doug: By the way, I forgot to mention, we're started from scratch in terms of points. After we award 25 points for high hand, we race to 100 points in another Poker Run. David, with that clarified, which card?

David: I'll take the ace.

Doug: Rocket for the man.

DAVID

MELANIE

Doug: Lady gets the knave. We get two more cards coming down the chute.

(a few woos and cheers)

D.J.: The Queen of Clubs and the King of Spades.

Doug: (clears throats) Ohhh-kay. Next artist and title from the jukebox.

Lady Gaga
"Eh, Eh (???)"

(Melanie buzzes in)

Doug: Melanie.

Melanie: Nothing else I can say.

Doug: That's right.

(ding; audience applause)

Doug: I like Jane Lynch's pronunciation -- Lady Guh-GAH. We're tied at 10, Melanie. Which card?

Melanie: Royal flush chance is toooooo tempting. King, please.

Doug: And in so doing...

DAVID

MELANIE

Doug: ...David's also on a royal flush draw. Does the drive for dueling royals continue?

(a few woos, a few groans but mostly cheers)

D.J.: The Queen of Diamonds and the 10 of Spades.

Doug: Well, David, obviously you're out of the running for the million. Melanie, we'll see what happens after this next artist and title.

Meatloaf
"I'd Do Anything For Love (???)"

(David buzzes in)

Doug: David.

David: But I Won't Do That

Doug: That's right.

DAVID
MELANIE

(ding; audience applause)

Doug: David, you take the lead -- and which card?

David: I REALLY hope I don't regret this, give me the queen.

Doug: And with that...

DAVID

MELANIE

Doug: ...Melanie's drive for the royal is still alive. If the Queen of Spades comes up for grabs on the next pair, we may have quite a battle. Let's see our next two cards.

(audience groans)

D.J.: Ohhh -- the 9 of Hearts and the King of Diamonds.

Doug: And with that, the million goes back into the vault and our accountant's respiration rate returns to normal. Still a pivotal question ahead of the blind cards. Next title and artist.

Information Society
"What's On Your Mind (???)"

(David buzzes in)

Doug: David again.

David: Pure Energy

Doug: That's it.

(ding; audience applause)

Doug: The band sampled Mr. Spock saying "pure energy" from an episode of the original "Star Trek" series. David, which card do you think will energize your score some more?

David: I can't give Melanie a pair, give me the King.

Doug: And with that...

DAVID

MELANIE

Doug: ...David has two ladies with a rocket and a cowboy. Melanie's a Queen away from completing a straight. Anything can still happen as we bring on the next two cards face down.

Doug: And let's play for 15 points this time. Remember the high hand's 25 and we race to 100 in the Poker Run. Here is your blind card song title and its artist.

Doug Sahm and Band
"(???) San Antone"

(Melanie buzzes in)

Doug: Melanie.

Melanie: Wild guess. Remember the Alamo?

(buzz)

Doug: No -- but we revisited the Alamo during Reunion CaperWEEK San Antonio last year. The actual title is "(Is Anybody Going To) San Antone". That means 15 points and control...

DAVID
MELANIE

(ding)

Doug: ...go to David. Which card completes your hand.

David: Gimme the RIGHT card, and I'm PRAYING it's a queen!

Doug: Melanie would like the left card to be a Queen. So...

DAVID

MELANIE

Doug: All right, let's check David's last card first. If he does have a Queen, it's going to be really tough for Melanie ahead of the Poker Run. Deej, what joins David's Queens -- if anything?

DAVID

MELANIE

Doug: Well -- got a 9. Still one pair. Melanie, you do have four outs, as they say in Hold 'Em. If your last card is a Queen, you complete a straight. If it's a King, your pair will outrank David's. Anything else -- and David will have a commanding lead ahead of the Poker Run.

Deej, please show us Melanie's last card.
