Joker Poker

(smooth jazz theme plays)

Scarlett: The championship's on the line. Robert and Michael play Joker Poker where one of them could win CY$25,000 -- plus the Joker's Bonus worth CY$15,000.

Scarlett: Back to Doug Morris and Net Poker.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Hey, before we get to Joker Poker, want to let you know about a great new rule on Net Poker. If a contestant wins four straight games, he or she automatically wins the aforementioned CY$25,000 *plus* the aforementioned Joker's Bonus *plus* the Outlaw's Jackpot. In addition, the champ gets to play Deuces Wild Poker for a bonus of CY$1,000,000.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Cars, trips and other non-cyber-cash prizes can now be won courtesy of the Mystery card in the Joker game.

ROBERT
MICHAEL

Doug: Robert, Michael, you've each won a round and CY$1500. The first to reach 100 points win the game and goes for a lot of loot.

You both know to play Joker Poker. So let's get right to the theme.

THE LAST WORD

Doug: Another one of my favorites -- The Last Word. I'll give you a false statement. To make it true, all you have to do is buzz in and change the last word.

For example, if I gave you, "Typically, a barber will use a pair of scissors to cut someone's cheese," you would (a few laughs from the crowd) probably laugh like they did and say "hair".

Robert cut the *deck* for this round. Let's bring on the first two cards from the top of the deck.

D.J.: We might be writing for "Family Feud" after that example. The Ace of Diamonds and the 10 of Clubs.

Doug: All right, one more thing. Since two Jokers are in the deck, a five of a kind or a natural royal flush will pay CY$1,000,000 in this round. With all that said, here's your first 10-point statement.

Douglas Adams wrote the book "So Long, and Thanks for All the Minnows".

(Robert buzzes in)

Doug: Robert.

Robert: Memories

Doug: Oh no. (buzz) "So Long, and Thanks for All the *Fish*" was the actual title of his book in "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" series. So, Michael, that means we award the 10 points to you. (ding) And you get the choice of card.

Michael: The Ace, of course.

Doug: Big Ace for Michael.

ROBERT

MICHAEL

Doug: And Robert gets the 10. We get two more cards.

D.J.: The King of Hearts and the 10 of Diamonds.

Doug: Well -- might work to Robert's advantage. Next statement.

In a Spider-Man movie starring Tobey Maguire, Cliff Robertson played the part of Peter Parker's father.

(Robert buzzes in)

Doug: Robert.

Robert: Boss?

(buzz)

Doug: Sorry, the late Cliff Robertson played Spidey's uncle. That means Michael picks up another 10 points.

ROBERT
MICHAEL

(ding)

Doug: Which card would you like?

Michael: I will go with the 10 and try that royal flush again.

(scattered cheers)

Doug: Michael means business.

ROBERT

MICHAEL

Doug: Both players on a straight draw, to say the least. Next two cards. Michael's hoping one is a natural Diamond higher than a 9.

(scattered groans)

D.J.: No million this round. The Jack of Clubs and the Ace of Hearts.

Doug: Sure can't blame a guy for trying. Next statement.

Until 2011, Charlie Sheen had a starring role on the sitcom "Two and a Half Grams".

(audience laughs) (Michael buzzes in)

Doug: Michael.

Michael: Men.

Doug: That's it.

(ding; audience applause)

Doug: Michael up to 30 points. Which card?

Michael: I will have that other red Ace.

Doug: Other rocket for Michael.

ROBERT

MICHAEL

Doug: Robert's still on a straight draw. Next two cards, please.

D.J.: The Jack of Spades and the 10 of Spades.

Doug: Well, Robert will no longer be on a straight draw. Still two Jokers in the deck. Anything can still happen. Next statement.

The game show "Minute to Win It" was hosted by Guy Smiley.

(Michael buzzes in)

Doug: Michael.

Michael: Fieri.

Doug: That's right.

(ding; audience applause)

Doug: Can you imagine Guy Smiley hosting "Minute to Win It"? Sheesh. Michael, which card.

Michael: I will take the 10 and make that 2 pair.

Doug: And with that...

ROBERT

MICHAEL

Doug: ...Michael indeed has a pair of Aces and a pair of 10s. Robert with just a pair of Jacks as we bring in the next two cards face down.

Doug: Robert's still on a straight draw. Next two cards, please.

Doug: Blind card statement's worth 15 points. High hand's worth 25. Robert could tie the score or Michael could have a commanding lead. All depends on the cards and this next statement.

Harriet Quimby was the first woman to fly across the English muffin.

(Robert buzzes in)

Doug: Robert.

Robert: Channel.

Doug: That's right.

ROBERT
MICHAEL

(ding; audience applause)

Doug: Robert, a chance to tie the score if the cards take a liking to you. Which do you think will help you -- left or right?

Robert: Left.

Doug: The left card it shall be.

ROBERT

MICHAEL

Doug: Now we turn over the last cards and complete the hands. D.J., please turn Robert's last card over first.

ROBERT

MICHAEL

(scattered cheers)

Doug: Another fish hook for trip Jacks. Michael, you've got to hope the last card is either an Ace or a 10. Deej, flip the last card over please for Michael.
