24K Dice Challenge Doug: Friends, we're a little short on time. So we're going to play the 24K Dice Challenge.

Doug: Quick overview of the rules. We're going to give you six dice. On each side of each cube, we either have an Ace, royalty, a 10 or 9.
In order to stay in the game, you either have to roll at least one Ace, at least one King or three of a kind. Rolling an Ace through 9 or three doubles in one roll automatically wins the game plus a big bonus.
Be careful -- because if your roll does not result in any payoff, the game's over and you lose *everything* in this 24K game.
Ultimately, you need to bank all six dice -- either in one roll or a combination of successful rolls -- to win the bonus of CY$24,000.
Doug: Qualifying is just like the slot game. Lowest unique bid wins. So, please take command of your keypads and bid an amount from CY$1000 to CY$5000 in increments of CY$50.
Doug: That's time. What was the lowest bid?

DOM FALANCE
CY$1000
![]()
Doug: Just CY$1000. Dom, come on back up here.
(audience applause) (smooth jazz theme plays)
(Net Poker's dice table at center of the stage rises)
(D.J. walks out with a clear plastic cup with the dice)
Doug: Dom, let's put the CY$1000 you bid into the bank.

Doug: Now, *if* you like, you can run out of here with a grand in hand -- or gamble it all away to try and improve upon that 1000.
Dom: I wanna try and redeem myself here so to coin a phrase -- Let 'Em Roll.
Doug: All right. D.J. gives you the dice. Give 'em a good roll.
(Dom shakes up cup and pours out...)

(scattered cheers)
Doug: Sweet first roll. Three Kings. Dom, if you'd like, you can bank one King and CY$200, bank two Kings and CY$400 or bank all three Kings and CY$2000.
Dom: I shall keep the -- unfortunate acronym and roll the other two.
(a few laughs from the crowd)
Doug: Yeah, I know Bill Cullen's take on this matter. K's a good letter -- as long as you don't string too many of them together.
Now, Deej will take charge of the three Kings and we'll add CY$2000 to your winnings.

Doug: Now if you want to roll again, you'd actually be rolling three dice -- the remaining Queen, Jack and 10. So do you want to keep the CY$3000 or gamble it all away and roll the *three* dice.
Dom: I will roll the other three.
Doug: All right. We'll put 'em back in the cup. Three of anything, an Ace and two Kings or a King and two Aces means you win the 24K bonus. Good luck.
(Dom shakes up cup and pours out...)

(scattered cheers and "woahs" from the crowd)
Doug: Wow! Dom, you're in a bit of a pickle. Now, you have to bank at least one of the Aces. You could bank both at CY$500 each. But if you want to keep on rolling, at least one cube must come up King or Ace. What do you want to do?
Dom: Discretion is the better part of valor. I'm gonna cash out.
Doug: I'll take that to mean you want to bank both Aces and stop. Very well. Congratulations on winning CY$4000.

Doug: Now, again, we're Geraldo Rivera kinds of folks who believe your right to know supercedes your right to exist. If you banked both Aces and went all the way, what would've happened? Roll that last cube, please and see what happen.
(Dom shakes up cup and pours out...)
