Joker Poker Scarlett: The championship's on the line. Matt and Andy play Joker Poker where one of them could win CY$25,000 -- plus a side pot worth CY$40,000. Back to Doug Morris and Net Poker.
Doug: Yes, indeed, Scarlett. A few lucky picks could result in a total of 65-grand.

Doug: Matt and Andy each won CY$1500 to get here. One of them is 100 points away from playing for all that loot. We start by playing...

THREE OF A KIND
 ![]()
Doug: ...Three of a Kind. I'll name three items and you tell me the common bond.
Each time you chime in with the right answer, you earn 10 points and the right to pick a card for your hand. As with the earlier round, if you chime in and miss, the points and control go to your opponent. When you pick a card, the other card goes to the opposition automatically.
When you each have four cards, we'll play a 15-point trio with the cards face down. High hand is worth 25 points. Then we race to 100 to see who'll become the new champ.
Matt cut the cards for this round. Let's see the first two cards for this important round.
D.J.: The 10 of Hearts and the Joker.
Doug: Matt, ya sure know how to cut 'em. True to the name of this round, there are two Jokers in the deck. They can be used for anything when your hand's complete. Matt, Andy, hands on the buzzers, please, because here comes the first trio.
Scott Bakula, Andre Braugher, Ray Romano
Doug: Andy.
Andy: "Men of a Certain Age"
Doug: We'll take that. They're the stars of that show.
Doug: First 10 points of this championship round are yours, Andy -- as well as the first pick of the card.
Andy: Give me the Steve Miller card -- the Joker.
Doug: Figured as much -- but have to ask as always.

Doug: Matt gets the 10 of Hearts out of that -- and we get two more cards.
D.J.: The Ace of Spades and the 9 of Spades.
Doug: Yin and yang of Spades with this next trio.
Faster, higher, stronger
Doug: Andy.
Andy: The Olympic motto.
Doug: That's right.
MATT ANDY ![]()

Doug: I'm not sure if I want to know who's motto is slower, lower, weaker. (light laughter from the crowd) Which card, Andy?
Andy: The ace.
Doug: Ace it shall be.

Doug: Matt gets the 9. Two more cards are on the way.
D.J.: The 10 of Clubs and the Queen of Diamonds.
Doug: Well, Andy will be on a straight draw either way. Matt could use some points. Next trio.
Erica, Jaclyn, Nicole
Doug: Andy.
Andy: The Dahm Triplets. Can we say Dahm here?
(light laughter from the crowd)
Doug: Sure you can say that -- considering you're Dahm right.
(more laughter from the crowd)
Doug: Andy you lead 30 to nothing. Which Dahm card would you like?
(more laughter from the crowd)
Matt: The 10.
Doug: Interesting strategy.

Doug: Both players on a straight draw. Matt, he didn't want you to have a pair. Let's bring on two more cards.
D.J.: Ah, boys will be boys. The Jack of Hearts and the 10 of Diamonds.
Doug: All right, let's get serious because Matt could use the points. Next trio.
A yellow hammer, a yellow sickle, an outlined yellow star
Doug: Andy.
Andy: The flag of the Soviet Union.
(Doug looks to judge...) (...who activates bell)
Doug: Judge takes it.
Doug: Actual answer we were looking for -- symbols in the upper left corner of the USSR's flag. Just saying Soviet flag was plenty, in Judge Von Erik's opinion. You're being less persnickety, today.
(light laughter from the crowd)
Doug: In any event, Andy, 40 to nothing and the pick.
Andy: The 10.
Doug: Very well.

MATT

Doug: Andy has, at worst, three 10s. Matt's a cowboy shy of completing a straight. Matt, as we bring in the next two cards for the round...
Doug: ...best thing I can tell you is keep the faith. Questions from this moment forward will be worth 15 points or more. This next trio is definitely worth 15. Then we have 25 for high hand -- and we haven't seen a natural King or the other Joker. So, anything can still happen. Next trio.
Marquette University, Oral Roberts University, University of Southern Mississippi
Doug: Andy again.
Andy: Nicknamed Golden Eagles.
Doug: Good enough. Universities with sports teams named Golden Eagles.

Doug: Andy up to double nickels. Which card will complete your hand?
Andy: The right card.
Doug: All right, the right for you.

Doug: Matt gets the left card. Matt, best you can hope for is a King or a Joker. Otherwise, Andy has a commanding lead heading into the Poker Run. Deej, let's have a look.

Doug: As before, base value for questions in the Poker Run is 15 points. We up the ante to 20 if one of the next cards is a face card. If both are royalty, 25 points. A Joker counts asa face card. Let's see our card for the Poker Run, please.
D.J.: The King of Hearts and the other Joker.
Doug: All right. Well, had there been no face cards, Matt would've been in for a real climb -- needing seven right answers to win. But with these cards, Matt needs four for the win. Andy, however, is just oneaway from the victory.
Matt, as I recall, someone managed to score four right answers in a row to win a game. If it happened before, it can happen again.
