Deuces Wild Poker

DEAN
MICHAEL

Doug: And we're back on The New Net Poker. Dean, Michael, Charlie is not able to complete the game. So, we've decided to cancel the rest of the game and let both of you play in the next game. But, before we do, we're going to give each of you CY$1000 for each letter you earned and were spotted. Michael, obviously, that's CY$5000 for you and Dean's CY$3000 richer.

DEAN
MICHAEL

(ding)

Doug: Now, with those numbers crunched, we brought back your points for a reason. We're now going to award you CY$100 per point. (scattered cheers) So, that's another CY$5000 for Dean and CY$4500 for Michael. Let's crunch those numbers.

DEAN
MICHAEL

(ding)

Doug: So Dean's up to CY$52,000+ in winnings. Michael's up to CY$9500. Oh, before we start a new game -- and we had to do a *LOT* of convincing with our accountant on this -- we're going to let each of you play Deuces Wild Poker for CY$115,000.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Now, the Outlaw's Jackpot is worth CY$115,000 -- but that's moving to the next game. You each are playing for a non-progressive bonus of 115-grand. And the player who ends up with the higher amount of cumulative winnings will become the champion in the next game.

Basically, if Michael wins his CY$115,000, then Dean would have to win his to keep his Podium #1 slot. But, Dean, no matter what, you're right now on a streak of two wins and Michael's on one win.

Michael, since you won the round, you're going first.

Doug: And as you know, we've got ten outlaws randomly hidden. One's in the top row, two in the second, three in the third, four in the bottom. Each time you avoid an outlaw, D.J. awards you a Deuce. Win all four Deuces and you win CY$115,000.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Run into an outlaw and the big bonus is out of play -- but keep trying for Deuces, because they're wild and they could help you win CY$20,000.

Michael and Dean, good luck. Michael, you're up first. Pick a number from the top row, please.

Michael: I will go with a certain QB's number: 4. (audience laughs)

Doug: We know which one. Let's have a look.

(dings; audience applause)

Doug: Good start. We'll put that Deuce on the board later. Let's play for the Deuce of Hearts now on the second row.

Michael: I will go straight down the line to 10.

Doug: Number 10. Another Deuce?

(outlaw says "YEEEEE-hawwww!") (audience groans)

Doug: Rats. OK, let's improve the chances at 20-grand. Next number, next row.

Michael: Again, I will go straight down the line to 16.

Doug: OK, let's hope for better luck at 16.

(dings; audience applause)

Doug: All right. Two Deuces in hand. Let's try for one more.

Michael: I am sticking straight down the line to 22, which is how many times said certain QB flip-flopped about his retirement in the past week.

(audience laughs and applauds)

Doug: If you're looking for a sports commentary job, see our sports director after the show. As for the double deuce, does 22 give you another wild card?

(dings; audience applause)

Doug: Wonderful. All right, D.J.'s placing your Deuces on the board.

Doug: Now a quick look at the pay table...

Doug: ...pick natural cards higher than a 9 and of the same suit and you'll win the CY$20,000. You have three Deuces -- so the worst that could happen is quads for two-grand. We had you cut the deck in case you got to this points -- and ...

Doug: ...the first two cards of the deck just came down the chute. As you know, you'll pick a card, the other gets discarded. We'll repeat this process one more time to complete the hand. Which card?

Michael: Let's start with the left card.

Doug: Left it is. Deej, let's have a look.

D.J.: Lady in red -- Queen of Diamonds.

Doug: All right, that defines your mission.

Doug: Draw another Diamond higher than a 9 and you pocket CY$20,000. Next two cards, please.

Doug: There they are, Michael. Which card for a possible CY$20,000?

Michael: I will go with the right card this time.

Doug: Right card.

If

it

is

a

Diamond

Deej,
