Joker Poker Scarlett: The championship's on the line. Chris and Eddie play Joker Poker where one of them could win CY$25,000 -- plus a side pot worth another CY$25,000. Back to Doug Morris and Net Poker.
Doug: Thanks, Scarlett. Well, our departing champion, Matt Taylor, just left the game with quite a bundle after two victories -- CY$31,000 and change.

Doug: Chris, Eddie, at the end of this rainbow, possibly CY$150,000. In addition to the payoffs Scarlett talked about, we have an outlaw's jackpot worth CY$100,000 in Deuces Wild Poker. Let's start our championship round with a little common bond action we call Three of a Kind.

THREE OF A KIND
 ![]()
Doug: In each question, I'll name three items, you identify the common bond. Each trio of items is worth 10 points until you each have four cards. Then we play for 15 points with 25 points being awarded for high hand.
Remember, Joker Poker's a little different than 5-Card Poker because we have two Jokers in the deck. Collect a Joker and you may use it for anything when your hand is complete.
Chris cut the deck since he won our first round. Let's see the first two cards from the top of the deck.
D.J.: (gasp) Oh wow! *Two* Jokers!
Doug: Chris, may I just say -- good cut! (audience laughs) For about six years, we've never had a double Joker situation crop up -- and double Joker cropped up on the last show and this one.
Well, in *this* double Joker situation, it would be silly to ask the player who gets control of the cards which card he wants. No Joker's more powerful than the other. A Joker is a Joker is a Joker.
So, Deej is going ahead and giving each of you a Joker.

Doug: Now we're still going to play a 10-point trio. The player who chimes in with the right answer earns the 10 points *plus* CY$10,000.
Doug: No pressure. (light laughter from the crowd) Chris, Eddie, good luck. Here comes your trio.
Barb, Nicki, Margene
(time passes) (buzz buzz)
Doug: Heh, guess HBO's not that popular. Barb, Nicki and Margene are Bill Henrickson's wives on the polygamy drama "Big Love".
OK, by rule, we can't deal out any more cards until someone scores 10 points. So this is still worth the CY$10,000 bonus. New trio coming up.
"East of Eden", "Giant", "Rebel without a Cause"
Doug: Chris.
Chris: Movies James Dean was in.
Doug: That's right for CY$10,000!
CHRIS EDDIE ![]()

Doug: As a matter of fact, James Dean was in the cast of just those three movies.
OK, before we go to the next pair, I should note since you each have a Joker in your hand, if you make five of a kind, that's also worth CY$1,000,000 in this round. But that's just for this round only -- meaning you'll have to come up with four of a kind naturally to go with your Joker.
With that said, here come the next cards.
D.J.: And the Queen of Clubs and 10 of Hearts are up for grabs.
Doug: All right. Let's see what you know about these three.
"Kash", cavemen, Martin the Gecko
Doug: Chris again.
Chris: Geico Insurance spokespeople.
(Doug looks to judge...) (...who activates bell)
Doug: OK, they'll give it to you.
Doug: I had "characters in Geico commercials" on my card. Although that stack of bills with the googlie eyes and the gecko aren't necessarily "people", Geico was a key part of the bond.
In any event, Chris, you're up to 20. Pick a card.
Chris: I'll take the Lady.
Doug: Lady in black's yours.

Doug: Eddie gets the 10. For now, they each have a pair. What's next?
(scattered groans)
D.J.: The 9 of Clubs and the King of Diamonds.
Doug: Obviously the million's out of this discussion. Let's see what you can do with this trio.
Hammer, anvil, stirrup bone
Doug: Eddie.
Eddie: They're bones of the inner ear.
Doug: That's right.
Doug: You're on the board now Eddie -- 20-to-10. Which card?
Eddie: The cowboy, please.

CHRIS
EDDIE
![]()
Doug: And with that, Eddie has King-10-Joker. Chris with Queen-9-Joker. Both players on a straight draw. Chris on a flush draw. Two more cards, please.
D.J.: The 10 of Diamonds and the King of Hearts.
Doug: OK, no flush chance for Chris. Either way, he'll be 4/5 of the way toward a straight. Also, Eddie will have trips, either way, ahead of the blind card question. Next trio...
Executive, legislative, judicial
Doug: Chris.
Chris: US governmental branches
Doug: Right you are.
Doug: Chris, you enjoy a lead of 30 to 10. Which card?
Chris: I'll take the 10.
(a few gasps from the crowd)
Doug: OK, perhaps he has a feeling about something.
![]()
CHRIS
EDDIE
![]()
Doug: If he took the King, he'd still be 4/5 of the way toward a straight and Eddie would still have trips potential.
Eddie has, in essence, three cowboys. Chris with Queen-10-9 and a rank to be name later.
Now we bring in the next two cards face down.
Doug: Let's up the ante now. This next trio is worth 15 points. High hand's worth 25. Here it comes for 15...
