TIME MACHINE
1967Doug: It's our newest theme -- Time Machine. And our base year for tonight is 1967. I'll name and event -- and then you chime in and tell me if that event happened before, during or after 1967.
Every time you chime in with the right answer, I'll award 10 points. But if you buzz in and miss, the points go to your opponent. Remember, if you collect points, you get to choose one of two up cards for your poker hand -- and the card you decline goes to your opponent.
After you each collect four cards, the next pair of cards comes face down and we play a 15-point blind card event. High hand is worth 25 points. Then we race to 100 points in another Poker Run.
Robert cut the cards -- and let's see the first two cards from the top of the deck.
D.J.: And we start with two big cards -- the King of Clubs and the Ace of Diamonds.
Doug: All right, here comes the first event. Good luck and here we go.
Ford introduces the Mustang.
Doug: Brian.
Brian: After.
Doug: No, the 'Stang was introduced in 1964 -- with the base price of $2368. So that means Robert collects 10 points.

Doug: And Robert, you get the choice of card. Cowboy or the bullet?
Robert: The Ace, Doug.
Doug: Very well.
BRIAN
ROBERT
Doug: Brian gets the King out of that exchange and we get two more cards.
D.J.: The 10 of Hearts and the 10 of Spades.
Doug: Oh joy. Would've been more fun if the 10s were of Clubs and Diamonds -- this way we'd have royal potential. But such as it is, here the next event.
The U.S. Postal Service starts using ZIP codes.
Doug: Brian.
Brian: Before.
Doug: Happened in 1963.
Doug: Just like that, we're tied at 10. And which 10 do you want?
Brian: The 10 of Hearts, please.
Doug: Show him some love, Deej.
BRIAN
ROBERT
Doug: And now we'll all be shown two more cards.
D.J.: The 10 of Diamonds and the Jack of Clubs.
Doug: Well, one of you will have a pair of 10s, the other will be on a straight draw. Let's see what happens on the other side of this event.
The TV series "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." debuts.
Doug: Robert.
Robert: After.
Doug: No, it debuted in 1964 on NBC. Brian gets the points.
BRIAN ROBERT ![]()

Doug: Brian gets the control of the cards. What are we adding to your hand?
Brian: I'll take the 10 of Diamonds.
Doug: Taking the pair.
BRIAN
ROBERT
Doug: Robert with three ingredients of an Ace high straight. Next cards.
D.J.: The King of Spades and the 9 of Clubs.
Doug: All right. Suddenly getting interesting. Here's your next event.
Elvis and Priscilla tie the knot in a Vegas wedding.
Doug: Brian.
Brian: After.
Doug: No, they got married during the year of '67 -- first day in that year's month of May. That means the points go to Robert... (ding) ...and we have a tie score ahead of the blind card question.
Robert, which card?
Robert: The King.
Doug: How ironic...
BRIAN
ROBERT
Doug: ...we just played an Elvis question and Robert takes -- the King. (light laughter from the crowd) By taking that King, Robert, you avoided a world of hurt. Had the King gone to Brian, he'd have two pair and definitely would've collected 25 for high hand.
Such as it is, it's blind card time...
Doug: ...15 points at stake on this event. Then we find out who'll have 25 more ahead of the Poker Run. Here comes that important event.
Paul McCartney announces there's no truth to the rumor he's dead.
Doug: Robert.
Robert: It's gotta be after.
Doug: And it's gotta be right.
BRIAN ROBERT ![]()

Doug: Paul said the news of his death was greatly exaggerated in 1969. Robert, 25 points will be awarded before the Poker Run. Left or right card?
Robert: Left one, please.
Doug: Left card for you...
BRIAN
ROBERT
Doug: ...and the right one for Brian. Brian, let's see your last card first. There's still one 10 left in the deck -- that would be great for you. Still a couple of Kings and three 9s in the deck for two pair. Let's see that last card in Brian's hand.
