Time to shuffle up and deal out more fun in an episode of The New Net Poker. Before we start, some notes are in order.

\ Matt Taylor returns as our champion with one win and CY$5750. Brian Moore is going to play as a challenger due to a technical difficulty during the last episode's qualifying period. So we seek just one additional player.

\ The Outlaw's Jackpot is up to CY$90,000 and the Joker's Side Pot is worth CY$20,000.

\ This is Game 42. So if you played in Game 39, 40 or 41, don't be like Jeff Kirby and cheat someone else out of the fun. :) Can't remember when you last played? Go to www.dougmorris.net/poker and click on "archives".

Let's get to qualifying. The player closest to the right answer, high or low, gets to play against Matt and Brian.

On June 13, 2009, at 9:30am Central, we watched a GSN rerun of "Family Feud". This particular program originally aired on ABC. Two members of the winning family didn't reach the goal of 200 points in Fast Money for $5000. What was the combined score of the two players?

Answers are due Wednesday at 8:00am EDT/7:00am CDT. (In the event someone hits the answer right on the nose, I'll end qualifying and let the first player who locked in the right answer play against Brian and Matt.)

(time passes)

Huh, someone already got it? OK, what was the right answer?

QUALIFYING ANSWER
152 POINTS

And who came up with the right number?

Nikolai Wataja 152

It's Nikolai. Thanks to all for playing.

Nikolai has elected to drop out of participation from this main game. Since we did not get far into this game and because he has yet to take a turn, he is allowed to qualify for the next main game of The New Net Poker. The next closest player in qualifying will take Nikolai's place

Rich Jeffries: "The 20,000 Card Pyramid" (audience laughs) will not be
seen today -- so that we may deal out significantly fewer cards on the
following.

Rich: CY$1,000,000 could be awarded to any of our players tonight -- in the game of high hands and high rewards. From CDM Enterprises, a division of Trax Productions, this is The New Net Poker.

(audience cheers)Rich: And now, here's the star of our show, Doug Morris!

(Doug walks out from behind the video poker screen)

Doug: Thank you, Rich, helloooooo, everybody and welcome to The New Net Poker. We have a champ going for his second win -- and two challengers to try and stop him. We'll meet them after we meet the lovely D.J. Hamilton.

(audience cheers) (D.J. walks out wearing the little black dress)

D.J.: Thanks, Doug. Hi, ya'll. I'm ready to deal out some big winnings. There's CY$90,000 in the Outlaw's Jackpot and CY$20,000 in our Joker game for tonight's winner.

Doug: Yes, indeed. Who's here to grab all that loot?

D.J.: Tonight, we welcome Robert McBride, Brian Moore and our current champ. With one win and CY$5750, welcome back Matt Taylor.

BACK AND FORTH
PASSWORD

Rich: It's Back and Forth Password! (intro theme continues to play) Our special guest clue-giver -- from the Net Match Game - Hollywood Squares Hour, Chad Mosher.

(audience cheers) (Chad walks on to the stage joining D.J. and Doug)

D.J.: Wow, this is a great night. First time I've had a chance to meet you, Chad.

Chad: Thanks, D.J. Great to be here.

D.J.: By the way, I'm also a producer on this show and I checked everyone's background. No one playing the game is a New Zealand native. (audience laughs) So you should do great.

Chad: Thanks!

Doug: Let me explain how this works. We have five pairs of passwords. Chad is going to give you a clue for one password and then a clue for that same password spelled backwards. Now, Chad's giving the clues and we'll use an example from an earlier show. If he gave you these clues...

Chad: marry, moisture

Doug: ...then you'd buzz in and say "wed" and "dew". Every time you chime in and come up with the correct passwords in a pair, you earn 10 points. But if you chime in and make any mistake along the way, we have to deduct 10 from your score. We already spotted each of you 10 points.

And now -- Chad is going to give you a clue to the first password in the first pair. The next clue will be that same password backwards.

Chad, the floor's yours.
