Doug: Shall we do it again? (everyone in audience shouts "YEAH!") OK, same situation. Lock in a bid from CY$1000 to CY$5000 in CY$50 increments. Lowest unique bid wins. We saw three people lock in the same amount last time. That's why you need to be strategic in bidding. So lock in a bid, tell me how low will you go -- and good luck.

(think music plays)

Doug: And we're ready. What's the lowest bid this time?

2 PEOPLE
CY$1050

(Greed tie sfx)

Doug: Well, sorry to the two folks who bid 1050. Your bids cancel. Next lowest?

Doug: Unfortunately, this means those who bid 1200 will not get to play this go-round. Sorry. Next lowest?

EDDIE TIMANUS
CY$1250

(ding)

Doug: It's Eddie Timanus. (audience cheers)

(Eddie's wife takes him by the hand -- as they walk up to the OVSC podium)

Doug: Eddie, nice to see you and the Mrs. here. The CY$1250 you bid goes into the bank.

(ding)

Doug: Now we have 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 left. Pick one of the remaining numbers and let's see what ya play.

Eddie: Let's see what 4's got.

(ding)

Doug: Ah, one of our newer games -- Pyramid Scheme. Let's load this one up.

NUMBER IN THIRD REEL=MULTIPLIES
SUM OF FIRST TWO REELS

"PYRAMID SCHEME"=TRIGGERS BONUS

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Eddie, in each of the first two reels, we have amounts of up to CY$300. The third reel is either going to triple, quadruple or even quintuple the sum of the first two reels. Now if the multiplication doesn't happen, hopefully, the bonus "scheme" symbol pops up --where you can win up to CY$10,000.

Of course, the third reel also has the outlaw and "bad luck". "Bad luck" gives you a strike and you'll have to spin again. Outlaw is an automatic three strikes. Rack up another CY$8750 before your third strike -- and you win another CY$20,000.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Now if you like, you make keep the CY$1250 -- or risk and spin.

(audience says, "GO! GO!")

Eddie: Let's give'em a whirl!

Doug: Whirl away, my man.

(Eddie presses buzzer to activate video slot machine)

NUMBER IN THIRD REEL=MULTIPLIES
SUM OF FIRST TWO REELS

"PYRAMID SCHEME"=TRIGGERS BONUS

(audience cheers)

Doug: Great first spin. 250 plus 250 is 500 -- and the "times four" symbol makes a total addition of CY$2000 to the bank. No marks against you. Spin again or take the CY$3250?

(audience says, "GO! GO!")

Eddie: Again! (turns to wife) You hit it, sweetie.

Doug: OK, this is a first.

(Kelli presses buzzer to activate video slot machine)

NUMBER IN THIRD REEL=MULTIPLIES
SUM OF FIRST TWO REELS

"PYRAMID SCHEME"=TRIGGERS BONUS

(audience cheers)

(audience says, "GO! GO!")

Eddie: What'dya say, hon?

Kelli: Well, we've got no strikes yet, so let's try it again!

Eddie: I'll hit it this time.

Doug: Risking CY$4700. Have a go at it.

(Eddie presses buzzer to activate video slot machine)

NUMBER IN THIRD REEL=MULTIPLIES
SUM OF FIRST TWO REELS

"PYRAMID SCHEME"=TRIGGERS BONUS

(audience cheers)

Doug: Another CY$2000 spin. 250 and 250 multiplied by 4 brings the score up to CY$6750. Still no strikes. Spin again or take the 6750?

(audience says, "GO! GO!")

Eddie: Shall we keep going?

Kelli: I think it's our lucky day!

Eddie: OK, Doug, we'll go on! Your turn, Kel...

(Kelli presses buzzer to activate video slot machine)

NUMBER IN THIRD REEL=MULTIPLIES
SUM OF FIRST TWO REELS

"PYRAMID SCHEME"=TRIGGERS BONUS

(dings; audience cheers)

Doug: 200, 250 and the Pyramid Scheme symbol. Great spin. Now, we just add 450 to the bank -- up to CY$7200 -- but more can be won as we bring on the pyramid.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Eddie and Kelli, we have the six letters in the word "scheme" arranged in the shape of a pyramid. At the top of the pyramid, there's the S; the next row has the letters C and H; the bottom row has an E, an M and the other E.

Behind two of these letters are halves of a CY$10,000 bill. If you find one half of the bill, I'll give you one chance to find the other half.

If you don't find half of the CY$10,000 bill, you'll receive whatever's behind the letter -- and we'll return to the main video slot challenge.

I *should* caution you that one letter hides an outlaw -- which of course is an automatic strikeout. Another letter hides "bad luck" -- meaning you'd have to give up the CY$450 you just won, you'd be assessed one strike and you'd have to spin again.

So, please pick one letter -- and pick carefully.

(audience shouts various letters)

Eddie: Let's try the E on the left.

Doug: E on the left. What's there?

(outlaw says "YEEEEE-hawwww!") (audience groans)

Doug: Rats. Outlaw means an automatic strikeout, my man. I tell ya what. Normally the consolation prize is CY$50. But let's quintuple it for CY$250. Go out and have a great night out on us. Nice hand for Eddie and Kelli.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Say, just for fun, let's reveal the rest of the pyramid since Pyramid Scheme's new to our show.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Starting at the top, a space that would've added CY$2500 and lost all the strikes. C had the first half of the CY$10,000 bill. H had bad luck. The M had the other half of ten-grand and E would've doubled the score.

(smooth jazz theme plays)

Doug: Well, we'll take a break, get set for a main game -- and see if our champ can defend his title. The New Net Poker's coming right back at ya.

(audience applause)
