5-Card Poker Rich: All of tonight's players receive a copy of Net Poker: The Home Game. Make winning hands, battle against the outlaws and hit big jackpots. Net Poker: The Home Game -- now available at http://basicgames.folff.com -- from Eastland Entertainment and Trax Productions.
And now, Ian and Michael try to stay in the game in 5-Card Poker. Back to Doug Morris and Net Poker.
Doug: Thanks, Rich. Time for the elimination round of 5-Card Poker. This is one of my favorite themes -- The Name Game.

THE NAME GAME
Doug: In this theme, you'll have to identify pairs of famous people, real or fictional. We'll show you photographs, give you clues and give you partial names for each person. You then have to fill in the blanks. A few examples from the last time we played this.
![]()
Doug: If this talk show hostess were the wife of this Canadian-born actor from the movie "Freddy Got Fingered", what would her name be?
Deej, care to take a guess?
D.J.: I remember this one. Kelly Green.
Doug: That's right. Kelly Ripa and Tom Green. We'll play one more sample.

Doug: If this former game show host, pictured on the left, were the son of this editor of "The New York Times" crossword puzzle, what would the host's name be?
D.J.: (laughs) Jim Shortz.
Doug: Indeed. Jim Caldwell and Will Shortz. By the way, the red boxes we put the names in *aren't* representing special categories. (light laughter from the crowd) Just thought we'd make that disclosure.
Now, every time you buzz in with a correct answer, we give you 10 points and the right to choose one of two up cards for your hand. The card you decline goes to your opponent.
After you each collect four cards, we'll play a 15-point blind card question. Player with the better hand wins 25 points. Player with the better *score* advances to Joker Poker to play against Josh.

Doug: Michael, before we reset the scores to zero, you earned the right to cut the deck for this round. Let's see the first two cards from the top of the deck.
D.J.: The 10 of Spades and the King of Spades.
Doug: Already, the matter of a natural royal flush isn't in this discussion. But let's see if one of you can score 10 points with this...

If this comedian and current host of "The Price is Right", pictured on the left, were the son of the actor who was the voice of Bugs Bunny, Barney Rubble and several other cartoon characters, what would the comedic host's name be?
Doug: Ian.
Ian: Drew Gibson.
Doug: Sorry, not right. Michael, chance to steal.
Michael: Drew A. Blanc
Doug: Oh-ho! That's creative. Judge Von Erik, I know of at least two occasions on "The Price is Right" Drew's acknowledged his middle name, at the least, starts with "A". So, permit me, please, to credit him with the 10 points.
Judge Von Erik: Thank you for making my job easier.
Doug: No problem.
[NOTE FROM DOUG: I recall in one playing of Check Game, Drew signed the check "Drew A. Carey", presumed to be the first time the game was played on his watch. Also, when a contestant named Allison won her one-bid and the right to play an on-stage game, Drew told her his middle name's Allison.
It was from this point on I recommended to both players to only supply the missing first and last names -- this way we don't have to make any more executive decisions.]
Doug: Incidentally, we were just looking for "Drew Blanc". Drew Carey and the late, great Mel Blanc. Michael, now that we have that all sorted out, which card?
Michael: Easy choice. I'll take the te...King.
(light laughter from the crowd)
Doug: Huh-kay. The cowboy's yours
IAN
MICHAEL
Doug: Ian gets a 10 out of that. Two more cards, please.
D.J.: The King of Diamonds and the Queen of Diamonds.
Doug: Cowboy and his lady of Diamonds. On to our next question -- which has *some* connection with the previous one.

If this former model from "The Price is Right" were the wife of this British musician, what would her name be?
Doug: Ian.
Ian: Holly Park?
Doug: Not Holly Park. Michael, another chance to steal.
Michael: Holly Wood.
Doug: That's got it.
Doug: Holly Hallstrom and Ron Wood. Which card, Michael?
Michael: As Big & Rich once sang, "Save a horse! Ride a cowboy!" I'll ride that cowboy, Doug.
Doug: You're now riding two cowboys.
IAN
MICHAEL
Doug: Any more cowboys coming down the chute?
D.J.: No. Got the Jack of Clubs and the 10 of Hearts.
Doug: And we move on to the next query...

If this female singer, who competed on the first season of "American Idol", were the wife of this actor, who played Jackie Chiles on "Seinfeld", what would her name be?
Doug: Michael.
Michael: She would be the co-host of the Net Match Game-Hollywood Squares Hour, Ryan Morris.
Doug: Brilliant how you figured out the theme within the theme. Drew Blanc, Holly Wood, Ryan Morris. Of course, as we celebrate Year 5 of Net Poker, it's Year 10 on NMG-HSH. (audience cheers) Delighted to be part of it. Michael, you're pitching a shutout -- 30 to nothing. Which card?
Michael: I'm afraid that another 10 might come down, so I'll take the 10.
Doug: Very well.
IAN
MICHAEL
Doug: Does give Ian straight potential. Michael's still building on two Kings and we have two more cards.
D.J.: The King of Clubs and the Queen of Clubs.
Doug: OK, still a chance at a straight for Ian. But he'll have to strike on this question.

If this host of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition", pictured on the left, were the son of this former major league baseball pitcher, what would the host's name be?
Doug: Michael.
Michael: Ty Score.
Doug: Right again.
Doug: Ty Pennington and Herb Score. About the only connection I can make with NMG-HSH is we've been known to have tie scores there. But this score's far from tied. Michael, which card?
Michael: It's time to lock this game up. I'll take the King.
Doug: Well, at least you lock up the round.
IAN
MICHAEL
Doug: Three Kings for Michael. Ian, the best you can do is three Queens. But I tell you what we do in this situation. Let's go ahead and bring on the final two cards for the round.
Doug: And the player who scores the 15 points on the blind card question earns a shot at CY$2500. So here's the next question.

If this Canadian-born actress, who served as co-hostess of the game show "High Rollers", were the wife of this singer of the hit song "Mambo No. 5", what would her name be?
Doug: Ian.
Ian: Rutha Bega.
(Doug looks to the judge)
Judge Von Erik: We'll credit him with a right answer -- but let's both players have a shot at CY$2500.
Doug: Fair enough.
IAN MICHAEL ![]()
![]()
Doug: Answer's actually *Ruta* Bega. Ruta Lee and Lou Bega. All right, Ian, which card would you like?
Ian: Left.
Doug: OK, for CY$2500, name the suit.
Ian: Spade.
Doug: If it is a Spade, you win CY$2500. Deej?
D.J.: Queen of Spades.
Doug: Good for you. Now Michael, you have the right card up there. Name its suit correctly and I'll give *YOU* CY$2500.
Michael: Diamonds.
Doug: Diamonds it is. Deej?
D.J.: The 10 of Diamonds!
Doug: All right!
IAN MICHAEL ![]()

Doug: Well, you're both winners. However, since Michael built a full boat with three Kings and two 10s and Ian ended up with three Queens, Michael collects 25 more points -- and goes to Joker Poker.
(audience applause; Super Pay Cards round victory music plays)
Doug: Stand by, Michael, your shot at CY$5000 comes shortly. Ian, in addition to *your* CY$2500, you also collect CY$10 per point -- that's another CY$150 for a total of CY$2650 plus some lovely parting gifts. Nice hand for Ian, everyone.

Doug: Michael, a CY$5000 payoff is hiding behind one of the letters in "POKER". Which letter is it?
Michael: I will go with E. Wow! I can actually make a decision faster than Brett Favre!
(light laughter from the crowd)
Doug: Uh, remember, Michael, this is Brett Favre Country. So if you see an angry mob on your way out of the building, you'll know why. As for the E...
