I trust you've heard by now we're without a great member of the online game show fandom -- David Zinkin. He died after a brave battle with cancer.

Many of us got to know David on the old alt.tv.game-shows -- and we'd later stay in touch with him on the Game Show Forum and other means of online communication.

David lived life to the fullest -- and smiled often along the way.

I'm a believer in a place called Heaven, I believe he's there and I hope he's managed to catch up with some of the game show greats he grew up watching -- Bill Cullen, Allen Ludden, Jack Barry -- just to name a few. I also hope he's managed to reconnect with Randy Amasia in Heaven. And, at the risk of sounding selfish, I hope David has met Cindy. If he hasn't done all that by now, he will -- eventually.

David would not want us sad and upset for long. He'd want us to move on, laugh and smile. We'll aim for that goal next time on Net Poker.
