Joker Poker

Doug: All right. We're all set. All we have to do is turn over those last card. Todd, we'll start with you. A Joker or anything lower than a Queen will keep you in the running. Anything else and Josh is the new champion. Deej, let's see Todd's last card.

TODD

JOSH

Doug: Queen. Gives you just a pair of Jacks. Josh, you have at least a pair of Kings. That's going to be enough to make you the new champion.

(audience applause; Super Pay Cards game victory music plays)

Doug: Some unfinished business first. Deej, what was Josh's last card?

JOSH

Doug: The other lady in red. Well, Josh had it won either way. Stand by, Josh, as you'll play for the trip plus CY$15,000. And then, it's off to Deuces Wild for a possible CY$50,000.

Let us not for a moment feel sad for Todd Davis. His tournament score is more than enough to get him in the Mega Playoff. And now that I think of it, I think the tote board cheated Todd out of the CY$5000 he won earlier in this game.

Doug: That's what I thought. That tournament score is now correct. CY$123,850. (audience cheers) That includes the CY$350 he just earned from the 35 points he racked up this round. Todd, by no means is this goodbye. This is just bye for now. And for now, another big hand for Todd Davis.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Todd, I'll see you at the Mega Playoff.

(cut to Jim Mora's "Playoffs?" rant -- *again* ... )

(audience laughs and applauds)

Doug: Why me? (more laughs)

Doug: Josh, even though that last question on the events of '76 didn't work for you, the ladies in red on the blind card situation sure did. Let's try to add a *lot* to that CY$1000.

First thing's first, pick two letters in the word "POKER". If you find the two biggest payoffs on the screen -- CY$5000 and CY$2000 -- then I'll kick in CY$3000 for a total CY$10,000 payout.

Josh: Ok, I'll take P and E.

Doug: P and the E. Let's see P first.

(rimshot; ca-ching)

Doug: CY$750 more. No hope for the three-grand bonus. What's behind E?

(rimshot; ca-ching)

Doug: Two-grand. Now let's play for the jackpot.

SELECT SAME RANK

FIFTH ANNIVERSARY
SIDE POT: CY$5000

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: All right, Josh, the video screen dealt you the 10 of Diamonds and four other cards hidden behind the numbered spaces. Above it all, there's a prompt of "select same rank". At least one of those numbers hides another 10. Find another 10 and you win the fifth anniversary side pot of CY$5000 *plus* what else, Rich?

(trip music plays)

Rich: A trip to Paris. (audience cheers) You and a guest will fly round trip coach to Paris, France for a six-night stay at a luxury hotel. Explore the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Champs-Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe and many more romantic sites in Paris. Compliments of Club Universe.

(more cheers) (music fades)

Doug: Great trip indeed, Josh. Where's another 10?

Josh: Card #2.

Doug: If number 2 hides another 10, you win five-grand and the trip. Let's see what's behind #2?

(smooth jazz theme plays)

Doug: Well now. CY$8750 and a trip to Paris. We'll be back for Deuces Wild Poker. If Josh hits the jackpot there, he'll pass the halfway point toward qualifying for the Mega Playoff.

(cut to Jim Mora's "Playoffs?" rant -- *again* ... )

(audience laughs)

Doug: (sighs) We'll be back.

(audience applause)
