Joker Poker

(smooth jazz theme plays)

Rich: The championship's on the line. Brian and Todd play Joker Poker where one of them could win up to CY$15,000 and a trip to South Padre Island, Texas. Back to Doug Morris and Net Poker.

(audience applause)

Doug: Thanks, Rich. Wow, what a round. I think that marks the 4th close call in Net Poker history where we *nearly* had a natural royal flush. Goodness knows what will happen in our championship round of Joker Poker.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE
MULTIPLE CHOICE

Doug: Brian and Todd, as always, this round's theme is General Knowledge Multiple Choice. In this round, I'll give you a question and four possible answers -- the last two of which are always "all of the above" and "none of the above".

Chime in, pick the right answer and you earn 10 points and a choice of one of the two up cards for your poker hand. As was the case in the last round, the card you decline goes to your opponent.

After you each collect four cards, we play a 15-point blind card question -- with 25 points awarded to the player with the better hand. Higher point total at the end of the round wins the game and has a chance to win CY$80,000 in Deuces Wild Poker.

(audience cheers)

BRIAN
TODD

Doug: Brian, Todd, I wish you both the best of luck. New round means we reset the scores to zero. Brian cut the cards for this round -- because he won our first round. Let's see our first two cards for Joker Poker.

(scattered cheers throughout the crowd)

D.J.: Well, Brian, looks like you gave 'em a great cut. The Joker and the Queen of Hearts.

Doug: OK, before we get to the first question, five of a kind is possible -- and in this round only, five of a kind also pays CY$100K as well as gives you the car. That said, here's the first question...

Tina Louise was in the cast of ...
\ the TV series "Gilligan's Island"
\ both versions of the movie "The Stepford Wives"
\ all of the above
\ none of the above

Brian: All of the Above

Doug: Gotta buzz in. (Todd buzzes in) Todd?

Todd: gilligan's

Doug: We'll take that. (audience applause) Tina was on just the original "Stepford". Todd, which card?

Todd: joker

Doug: Thought ya might.

BRIAN

TODD

Doug: Brian gets a lady and we get two more cards from Deej.

D.J.: The 9 of Clubs and the Queen of Diamonds.

Doug: And on we go to another 10-pointer.

Boxes of Lucky Charms cereal include marshmallows shaped like...
\ stars
\ clovers
\ all of the above
\ none of the above

(Brian buzzes in)

Doug: Brian.

Brian: all of the above

Doug: That's the right choice. (audience applause) Tie ballgame at 10. Which card, Brian?

Brian: I'll take the queen

Doug: Brian not settling for just *one* lady...

BRIAN

TODD

Doug: ...when he could have two -- and does. Next cards, please.

D.J.: That statement was so wrong.

Doug: Well, factually it's right.

D.J.: Whatever. (light laughter from the crowd)

D.J.: King of Clubs and Jack of Spades.

Doug: All right, let's see who breaks the tie with this.

Dr. William Marston created the ...
\ defibrillator
\ heroic character Wonder Woman
\ all of the above
\ none of the above

(Brian buzzes in)

Doug: Brian.

Brian: The heroic character "Wonder Woman". He actually invented the polygraph lie detector.

Doug: He's all over it -- and right.

BRIAN
TODD

(audience applause)

Doug: With those facts established, I just have to ask what career path Lynda Carter would've taken had Dr. Marston not created that character. Makes you wonder.

(audience boos)

Doug: Brian, please pick a card.

Brian: I'll take the King.

BRIAN

TODD

Doug: All right. Brian still with a pair. Todd is 3/5 of the way toward a King high straight. Two more cards, please.

D.J.: We have the King of Diamonds and the Ace of Clubs.

Doug: All right -- new question...

Michael Richards was a cast member of...
\ "Seinfeld"
\ "Saturday Night Live"
\ all of the above
\ none of the above

(Brian buzzes in)

Doug: Brian.

Brian: "Seinfeld" - he was actually a cast member on "Fridays"

Doug: All you had to say was "Seinfeld" -- but you're right on all counts. (audience applause) Brian now has a 30-10 lead -- and the choice of card once again.

Brian: I want the King.

Doug: Okie doke...

BRIAN

TODD

Doug: Brian has two pair. Todd has at least a pair of Aces. Final two cards for the round, please.

Doug: Fifteen points at stake. Todd, you must score on this question in order to stay in the game mathematically. Here we go.

The number 88 is associated with the ...
\ standard number of piano keys
\ consecutive amount of wins by UCLA's men's basketball team from 1971-1974
\ all of the above
\ none of the above

(Brian buzzes in)

Doug: Brian for the game.

Brian: the number of keys on a standard piano

Doug: No, sorry. Todd, chance to steal.

Todd: all of above

Doug: You're still in the game.

BRIAN
TODD

(audience applause)

Doug: There are 88 keys on a piano and John Wooden's UCLA Bruins had that record 88-game win streak between 1971-1974. Todd, the score's virtually tied. You've got to hope one of those cards is good to you. Which one?

Todd: right

BRIAN

TODD

Doug: OK, the cards are in place. Todd, we'll start with you. Deej, show us Todd's last card.

BRIAN

TODD

Doug: It's an Ace making three of a kind. Brian, you've got to hope the last card for you is either a King, Queen or the other Joker.

This

last

turn

of

the

card

will

determine

the

championship.

Will

it

be

Todd?

Will

it

be

Brian?

We'll

know

as

soon

as

Deej

flips

over

that

last

card.
