5-Card Poker

Baton Rouge is the capital city of the state of Drunkeness.

(Todd buzzes in)

Doug: Todd for the round.

Todd: Louisiana

Doug: That's right and you're going to Joker Poker.

(audience applause; Super Pay Cards round victory music plays)

Doug: And wouldn't you know, the scribes gave me *another* Fred Scott joke.

(Doug tosses card) (audience laughs)

Doug: OK, we normally don't play this out -- however, let's pretend that the 25 points for high hand *would* make a difference in the score. If we had to go on, Todd, which card would you have taken?

Todd: left

Doug: All right, Deej will put the last cards in place.

Doug: And Todd's final card was a what?

JOHN

TODD

Doug: The 9 of Hearts. Now, the real issue is -- when John declined that Jack of Spades a few questions ago, did he lose a car and the 100-grand?

JOHN

TODD

Doug: Nope, a royal flush just wasn't in the cards -- at least not in these ten. Tell ya what let's do -- because I'm in a generous mood. Since John's two pair beats Todd's one pair, let's go ahead and give him 25 more points

JOHN
TODD

Doug: That means you have CY$350 to take home -- as well as some consolation prizes backstage and all this applause.

(audience applause)

Doug: OK, Todd, let's find the CY$5000. It's hidden behind one of the letters in "POKER".

Todd: E

Doug: The E. Let's have a look.

(rimshot; ca-ching)

Doug: Well, a thousand.

JOHN
TODD

(smooth jazz theme plays)

Doug: Todd has 1000, Brian won CY$2000 earlier -- but won of them could win tens of thousands more in the next few moments. Joker Poker for all the marbles is coming up on Net Poker.

(audience applause)
