Video Poker

(FF reveal sfx) (audience groans)

Doug: Ohhhh, if you held on to that King at 3, you would've had three of a kind.

JOHN
TODD
BRIAN

Doug: Well, the good news is you still get a fiver out of that. Brian, anything better than one pair wins the round. A pair of ladies, cowboys or bullets ties. Anything less and John wins. Let's shuffle the cards, first.

(cards are shuffled on the video screen; after shuffling stops, the cards are covered immediately with the 24 numbers)

Doug: Now Brian's been with us before. But for those meeting you for the first time, tell the nice folks about yourself.

Brian: Hi Doug. My name is Brian A. Henegar. I live in LaFollette, Tennessee. I work at a home shopping company, I love pro wrestling, reading, writing, video games, and I am here to win some big money!

Doug: All right. We'll see if five numbers can help you win big.

Brian: Let's see -- gimme 5, 12, 3, 19, and 24.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: A couple of Kings and a couple of 9s. That's two pair worth 10 points. Stop here and you win the round. However... (holds up car keys again) ...you have two ingredients of a spaded royal flush if you're feeling lucky.

Brian: As enticing as that car is...I will stop

(a few groans)

Doug: Oh, don't listen to them. Give him 10 points and the round.

(audience applause; Super Pay Cards round victory music plays)

Doug: Sheesh, took us five years to get a fanfare on this show? (audience laughs) Anyway, let's go after five-grand.

Doug: Behind one of the letters in the word "POKER", there's CY$5000. Behind another, CY$500. The remaining letters hide different amounts higher than 500 and lower than 5000.

You want to find CY$5000. That's a great way to kick off our fifth anniversary celebration.

Brian: Gimme the K in poker, please.

Doug: Let's see if the K hides five-K.

(rimshot; ca-ching)

Doug: Well, next best payoff. CY$2000.

(smooth jazz theme plays)

Doug: When we come back, John and Todd compete in 5-Card Poker. That's the elimination round where they'll try to get in -- the last word. We'll explain -- when Net Poker comes back. We're just getting the party started.

(audience cheers)
