Doug: And let's start with our first pair of clues for the first pair of passwords.

D.J.: refund, undergarment

(Andy buzzes in)

Doug: Andy.

Andy: "reward" and "drawer"?

Doug: No -- but a good guess. Anyone else? (buzz) Andy, we actually went to Dictionary.com, looked up "refund" and couldn't find any definition related to "reward" -- but we did find "repayment". So we were actually looking for the passwords "repaid" and "diaper". OK, next pair of clues are coming for the next back and forth passwords.

D.J.: marry, moisture

(Kourtney buzzes in)

Doug: Kourtney.

Kourtney: wed, dew.

Doug: There ya go.

JAY
ANDY

(audience applause)

Doug: Now you're getting the hang of this. Two more clues, Deej.

D.J.: knight, develop

(Andy buzzes in)

Doug: Andy.

Andy: "dub" and "bud"

Doug: That's correct.

KOURTNEY
JAY
ANDY

(audience applause)

Doug: Two more pairs of passwords on the way. Clues for the fourth pair coming up.

D.J.: banister, fibber

(Andy buzzes in)

Doug: Andy.

Andy: "rail" and "liar"

Doug: That's it.

KOURTNEY
JAY
ANDY

(audience applause)

D.J.: Hey, I have a question for Judge Von Erik.

Judge Von Erik: (over loud speaker) Yes, D.J.

D.J.: For "liar", would "ex-husband" be an acceptable clue?

(audience laughs)

Judge Von Erik: I could see where you'd go with that. But it's a hyphenated word and I don't think Dr. Reason A. Goodwin allowed for that.

Doug: She never stops. OK, last pair of passwords and we'll go to the video screen. Deej, the clues, please.

D.J.: boat, canoe

(Andy buzzes in)

Doug: Andy.

Andy: "kayak" and "kayak"?

Doug: That's right.

KOURTNEY
JAY
ANDY

(audience applause)

Doug: Who says we can't do palindromes in Back and Forth Password? OK, after five pairs of passwords, Andy leads with 40, Kourtney's in second with 20, Jay still has 10. But anything can happen as Deej guides us through the next part of the game.

D.J.: OK, you're all familiar with this. I'll briefly explain that you'll each take up to two consecutive turns at the video screen -- try to build a poker hand.

On your first turn, pick five numbers and we'll reveal the cards hidden behind them. As ya'll know, there's nothing lower than a 9 hidden on the video screen. If you're happy with that hand, take the points associated with the combination and pass control on. But if you want a second turn, exchange one, some or all your cards.

D.J.: If your hand has only a pair of Jacks or something worse, we have to take 5 points away. Otherwise, you gain points based on the combination you make.

Doug: And as always, if you make a natural royal flush in this or any other round, you win CY$100,000 and -- this spiffy item.

(new car music plays)

Rich: For your driving enjoyment, IT'S A BRAND NEW CAR! (audience cheers) The Dodge Viper SRT-10 Convertible -- an exciting car built for power and precision performance. It comes with a 6-speed manual transmission, 8.3 liter V10 engine and much more. The Dodge Viper SRT-10 Convertible!

(more cheers)

Doug: All right. Jay, you have the lowest point total. That means you go first. Five numbers, please.

Jay: 9, 2, 7, 19, 15

Doug: OK, let's see if these number bring you luck.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Two pair -- only gives you ten points and you'll need a bunch more to stay in the running -- so you'll need a second turn.

Jay: Well, I guess I will try for the full house... exchange that King for #5 please.

Doug: Would've been my move, too. Let's see if there's another Ace or lady behind 5.

(FF reveal sfx)

(audience groans)

Doug: Nope. A Jack.

KOURTNEY
JAY
ANDY

Doug: Total of 20 points -- but you'll finish out of the cyber-money. We'll see you in the next round. Kourtney, you're about to take command after we shuffle.

(cards are shuffled on the video screen; after shuffling stops, the cards are covered immediately with the 24 numbers)

Doug: And now the board awaits your first five selections.
