Audience Game All right, hope everyone enjoyed that *long* commercial break. Hey, gotta raise enough funds to pay Andy. Anyway, qualifying's over. Let's revisit the query...
On March 3, 2007, at 1:00am Central, we recorded a GSN rerun of "Street Smarts". This episode's winner collected how much money?
..."Street Smarts" wasn't known for big payoffs -- save for the series finale which also marked the finale of the $100,000 tournament. Still, this rerun had a decent pay day of...
QUALIFYING ANSWER
$2500
...two and a half grand. So, who's the closest?
Matt Taylor $2800It's Matt Taylor -- only off by 300. Next closest is...
Matt Tanga $2000...another Matt T. Room for one more. Who gets the last spot?
Michael Clifford $1200The president of the Jill Manas fan club. Michael, why am I not surprised you guessed *twelve*-hundred. You could've guessed 1212, ya know? Anyway, audience game's next.
====================================================================== (20-second montage of winning moments from CBS' "The Price is Right" -- followed by a 10-second montage of various openings of door #2 as Bob Barker walks out) Voice guy: Thanks, Bob, for 50 golden years of television excellence. We'll miss you. ======================================================================D.J.: We just gave CY$20,000 away in Deuces Wild. Let's see if one of these audience game players can win 20-grand or more. Let's play the Stock Market with Matt Taylor, Matt Tanga and Michael Clifford.

Doug: This could be the basis for a sitcom -- "Two Matts and a Michael". In any event, welcome players. Indeed, we'll play Stock Market -- and when we do play Stock Market, we have with us, as our guest, the anchor of VBS MarketWatch, Mr. Dana Epstein.
(audience cheers) (Dana walks out from behind the video screen)
Doug: So, Dana, how's Wall Street these days?
Dana: Eh, it has it's ups and downs.
Doug: Never fails. I deliver that pun and you'd boo. Dana, tell us how this Stock Market game is played.

Dana: OK, players, take a look at these four stocks. Spade Corp; Heart, Inc.; Club Universe and Diamond Brothers. In a moment, I'll draw cards from a new deck.
On each draw, the suit of the card that corresponds to the first word in the stock's name makes that stock increase by a quarter of a point. Once a stock reaches a full point, the session is over.
Before we start the session, you have to predict which stock will reach that full point first. A correct prediction means you'll either win or share in CY$3000. A wrong prediction pays CY$50 plus CY$25 for each quarter point your stock increased.
Doug: Now this is just a one decision game -- so if we end in a tie for the lead, those involved in the tie play Dice Poker. So secretly lock in your picks of what you think will be the winning stock.
(players lock in selections)
Doug: And we're set. Matt Taylor, which stock did you pick?
Matt Taylor: Spade. (bing)
Doug: OK, #1, Spade Corp. Matt Tanga, your selection.
Matt Tanga: I Think the Heart Inc. will reach a full point first. (bing)
Doug: Number 2 for you. And Michael?
Michael: Since I like the name "Club Universe", I'll go with Club Universe. (bing)

Doug: OK, three different predictions. That means, as long as Diamond Brothers doesn't reach the full point goal first, one of you will be CY$3000 richer. I should note if you decide to play the Video Slot Challenge, that three-grand will be at risk -- in addition to whatever you receive on a successful spin. But that's later -- here's Stock Market now as trading opens.
