Dice Poker

(audience applause) (smooth jazz theme plays)

(Net Poker's dice table with Ace of Spades logo at center of the stage rises) (D.J. walks out with a clear plastic cup with the tie-breaker dice)

(music fades)

Doug: Ah, so nice to hear that song again. Gentlemen, you've made Net Poker history. This is the first time we've had to come here to the dice table to break a tie in the main game.

D.J.'s holding a huge plastic dice cup with the tie-breaker dice. These are like normal dice cubes -- but instead of numbers 1 through 6, we have Aces, Kings, Queens, Jacks, 10s and 9s.

In a moment, you'll each roll the dice in the hope you make the best possible combination.

Doug: Whatever combination you roll, we add the assigned point value to your score. Remember, there's a 10-point bonus if your roll is better than your opponent's. That means a roll of five Kings will lose to five Aces.

Joseph, you were leading before the tie was created. We'll let you roll first.

(D.J. hands dice cup to Joseph)

Joseph: Let's roll, no pun intended. (rolls)

Doug: Ugh. That's not too good. Pair of 9s. We'll post that roll on the video screen.

MARC: 60

JOSEPH: 61

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Marc, beat a pair of 9s and you win the round.

(Marc shakes cup and rolls)

Doug: Pair of Jacks wins it.

MARC: 71

JOSEPH: 61

(FF reveal sfx) (winning bells; audience applause)

Doug: One point for the pair and the extra 10 for the better result. Fellas, head back to your respective perches and we'll close out the round.

(audience applause) (Doug, Marc and Joseph return to their places on stage) (dice table lowers to the floor)

Doug: OK, Marc, you succeeded in our first tie-breaker. Now you have a chance to win CY$5000. It's hiding behind one of the letters in the word "POKER". Of course, there are lesser payoffs behind the other letters. But you don't want one of the others, you want the one with the five-grand. Which letter is it?

Marc: I'll try the E.

Doug: The E means you've won...

Doug: ...CY$750.

MARC
JAY
JOSEPH

(smooth jazz theme plays)

Doug: Bumps your total up to CY$5000 even. Jay, Joseph, good things are going to come in threes when we play 5-Card Poker. We'll explain -- when Net Poker continues.

(audience applause)
