Rich: Now, let's see if Jay Cross can win CY$57,500 in Deuces Wild Poker. Back to you, Doug.

Doug: And thank you Rich. Yes, it's time for Jay to play against the Outlaws. Let's go ahead and set up the video screen.

Doug: Behind these numbers are those ten Outlaw cards. By random assignment, there's one Outlaw in the top row, two in the second, three in the third and four in the bottom row. You'll choose one number from each row. Each time you don't run into an Outlaw, you win a Deuce for your poker hand. Deuces are wild, as this endgame's name implies. The more Deuces you win, the better your chances at winning CY$20,000.

But, Rich mentioned something about CY$57,500. That's the amount in the Outlaw's Jackpot. If you win four Deuces and avoid all of the Outlaws in the process, this endgame ends immediately and you'll win CY$57,500.

(audience cheers)

Doug: So, let's get started with the top row. One Outlaw to avoid. You're playing for the Deuce of Spades.

Jay: 5

Doug: Number 5. Let's see if we can get him off to a good start.

(winning bells; audience applause)

Doug: That's a good start.

Doug: D.J. places your first Deuce on the board. Let's go for another Deuce -- of Hearts. Two outlaws to avoid on the second row.

Jay: 9

Doug: Number nine, number nine. Good number?

(winning bells; audience applause)

Doug: Yes indeed.

Doug: Two down, two to go for CY$57,500. Next row has three Outlaws to avoid -- so it's 50/50 time. Pick one of the three *good* numbers and you win the Deuce of Clubs.

Jay: 15

Doug: Going to 15...

If

there

is

no

Outlaw

hiding

behind

the

number

15,

we

go

for

the

Jackpot

on

the

bottom

row.

Let's

reveal

15.

(outlaw says "YEEEEE-hawwww!") (audience groans)

Doug: Rats. Well, next time we have 60-grand at least to look forward to. Let's go for one more Deuce. The Deuce of Diamonds is always the toughest to win since there are four Outlaws to avoid. Pick a good number and you'll play with three Deuces.

Jay: 19

Doug: Number 19. Let's hope for no Outlaw.

(outlaw says "YEEEEE-hawwww!") (audience groans)

Doug: Darn. Well, two Deuces to play with. We'll tell you where we go from here in a bit. First, let's reveal where the other eight Outlaws were.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: And there you have them. OK, Jay, we had you cut a deck of cards -- and I hope it was a good cut. Let's bring down the first two cards from the top of the deck he cut.

Doug: There they are. In a moment, Jay, I'll have you choose one of these cards; the other will be discarded immediately. We'll play the next two pairs of cards this way.

Doug: With two wild cards in hand, the worst case scenario is three of a kind for CY$500. But if you can draw cards higher than a 9 and of the same suit, that makes a royal flush for CY$20,000. (audience cheers) So let's start with -- the left or the right card?

Jay: The left worked for me in the main game, so let's go with the left again.

Doug: The left. Let's see if we can get him off to a good start.

(audience applause)

D.J.: Good start. Jack of Spades.

Doug: And with that, your mission for 20-grand's defined...

Doug: ...find more Spades and hope you don't get any 9s. Next two cards are coming down the chute.

Doug: And the decision again is yours -- left or right?

Jay: Hopefully this won't be a bad move, but I'll change things up here and take the right card.

Doug: I hope this alaman right's the right move. We'll know it is if that right card is an Ace, a 10 or another face of Spades. Let's see the right card.

(audience groans)

D.J.: The 9 of Clubs. So sorry, Jay.

Doug: Well, 20-grand's no longer in the discussion.

Doug: But 2000 is possible. It'll happen if another Jack or 9 is among this last pair.

Doug: And here are your final two cards for the round. Left or right?

Jay: Well, I guess I'll go back to the left.

Doug: Back to the left. Let's hope for another Jack or 9 for two-grand.

D.J.: Instead it's a 10 for 750.

(audience groans)

Doug: Well, darn, crud, phooey, rats, darnit, daggummit and a few words we can't use on the air.

Doug: But CY$750 is better than the guaranteed 500. Let's crunch some numbers here. We add the CY$750 for this round to your prior winnings and that gives you a total for one win of...

Doug: ...CY$4500. (audience applause) You ran into two Outlaws. At CY$2500 each, we add CY$5000 to the Outlaw's Jackpot -- making it worth CY$62,500.

(audience cheers)

(smooth jazz theme plays)

Doug: So, we'll see you in the next game as you defend your crown. Meantime, we'll play an audience game right after this.

(audience applause)
