5-Card Poker (camera zooms in on headstone reading "Dan Enright: Rig In Peace")
(fade to one-shot of Doug, still in his Dracula costume)
Doug: And welcome back. For those of you just joining us -- it's a long story. (audience laughs) This is our second round in our Halloween special of Net Poker. Robert McBride, our current champ, won the first round and another CY$5000. He'll play the winner of this round in the championship round.
Brian and Rob, it's time for 5-Card Poker. Since Rob finished in second place in Video Poker, he cut the deck of cards for this round. This time, we're playing with an actual deck of 24 cards -- Ace through 9 of each suit. You'll see the first two cards from the top of that deck shortly. I'll tell you how you can earn one of those cards for your hand in a bit -- but let's see the theme of this round.

SCARY MOVIE TITLES
IN OTHER WORDSDoug: Scary Movie Titles In Other Words. Here's how this works. I'll show you the title of a scary movie expressed in other words. All you have to do is identify the movie. For example, if we gave you "October 31st" -- you would buzz in and say "Halloween".
Each time you identify the movie title exactly and correctly, you win 10 points and the right to select one of the upcards for your hand. As always, the card you decline goes to your opponent.
After you each have four cards, we'll then make the last two cards available face down -- and play a 15-point blind card movie title. After one of you makes a selection, we'll turn the cards face up and award 25 points to the player with the better hand.
The player with the better score wins the round. The loser gets...
(man screams as a monster roars) (audience laughs)
Doug: ...let's just say it's important to win this round. Good luck, in all seriousness. Let's see the first two cards of the round.
D.J.: I wonder if that was an ex-boyfriend. (more laughs)
D.J.: The King of Hearts and the Jack of Hearts.
Doug: Obviously, the matter of a natural royal flush bonus won't be in this discussion. Let's see the first movie title in other words -- remember, we need the exact title...
"Killer from
'Nightmare on Elm Street'
Against Murderer from
'Friday the 13th' "Doug: Rob.
Rob: Freddie vs. jason!
Doug: That's right.
BRIAN ROB ![]()

[NOTE FROM DOUG: This is a category that does not require correct spellings. The title's actually "Freddy vs. Jason" -- but Rob's close enough.]
Doug: Who cares who wins that battle? We all lose. (audience laughs) Rob, you have the first points of the round. Which card?
Rob: K hearts please
Doug: The King's yours.
BRIAN
ROB
Doug: And Brian gets the Jack out of that deal. Two more cards, please.
D.J.: The Queen of Diamonds and the King of Clubs.
Doug: And here's your next movie title in other words...
"Feline Persons" Doug: Brian.
Brian: "Cat People"
Doug: Got it.
BRIAN ROB ![]()

Doug: Tie ballgame. Which card, Brian?
Brian: let's bust the pair and take the king
BRIAN
ROB
Doug: Not a surprise there. Let's see the next two cards.
D.J.: We now have...
D.J.: ...the Queen of Hearts and the 9 of Spades.
Doug: And here's your next 10-point movie...
"Yell" Doug: Rob.
Rob: Scream!
Doug: Correct.
BRIAN ROB ![]()

Doug: And you're now in the lead. Which card?
Rob: I'd like the queen of course. :)
BRIAN
ROB
Doug: OK, Rob with a pair of ladies, Brian's 3/5 of the way toward a straight. Next two cards, please.
D.J.: The King of Diamonds and the 9 of Clubs.
Doug: Next movie in other words...
"Quiet Evening,
Fatal Evening"Doug: Rob.
Rob: Silent Night, Deadly night?
Doug: Good guess -- that's it.

Doug: From 1984; starred Lilyan Chauvin and Britt Leach. Rob, which card do we add to your hand?
Rob: I'll take the King for a nifty 2 pair!
Doug: Indeed it's a nifty situation going into the blind card question...
BRIAN
ROB
Doug: ...pair of cowboys and a pair of ladies. Brian, you can still win. You have to score on the 15-pointer coming up -- and then draw a 9 in order to have a chance to stay in the running.
Doug: These are the blind cards. Rob, BTW, if you score on this title, you win the round automatically because there would not be enough points available for Brian to catch up. Here we go with the next movie...
"A Baker's Dozen
of Phantasms"Doug: Brian to stay in it.
Brian: one of William Castle's classics, "13 Ghosts"
Doug: That's right.
BRIAN ROB ![]()
![]()
[NOTE FROM DOUG: Titled as "13 Ghosts", it was a movie from 1960 directed by William Castle, as Brian alluded to.
The title of the 2001 remake was expressed as "Thir13en Ghosts" in advertising -- but was also known as "Thirteen Ghosts" or "13 Ghosts".
So, I had to be lenient on the answer. As long as you had "13" in Arabic numerals, the word "Thirteen" spelled out or a combination of "Thir13en" -- and then "Ghosts" -- I would say that's right.]
Doug: OK, Brian, it's coming down to the cards. You have to hope one of these helps you and the other doesn't help Rob. Which card?
Brian: I'll take the right card.
BRIAN
ROB
Doug: Very well. Brian, the only way you can stay in business now is if your last card's a 9. Bride of Four-ex-stein, let's see Brian's last card.
