Deuces Wild Poker

Doug: Welcome back to Net Poker. Michael, time's working against us -- so we're going straight to the Deuces Wild round. As you know, you'll pick one number from each row -- starting at the top row and going to the bottom row. The closer you get to the bottom row, the more likely you'll run into an outlaw.

Doug: Avoid all ten outlaws and you'll win four Deuces plus the outlaw's jackpot of CY$72,500. (audience cheers) A jackpot win would also be more than enough to put you in the Quarter Million Playoff. If you run into at least one outlaw, you'll build a poker hand in the hope you'll win CY$20,000.

Doug: Good luck, Michael. You're four lucky numbers away from the Quarter Million Playoff. Let's start at the top row. One outlaw to avoid. Avoid him and you win the Deuce of Spades.

Michael: I will go with 5.

Doug: Number 5. Let's take a look.

(bing) (audience applause)

Doug: Good beginning.

Doug: One down, three to go. Next row has two outlaws. Avoid them and you win the Deuce of Hearts.

Michael: I will go with 8.

Doug: The sideways infinity. The snowman. Let's hope 8's not home to an outlaw.

(bing) (audience applause)

Doug: And it's not. You win another Deuce.

Doug: OK, Michael, 50/50 time. Three outlaws on that third row. Avoid them and you'll win the Deuce of Clubs plus be one step away from the jackpot.

Michael: I will go with 14.

Doug: Number 14. Are we playing for the jackpot on the bottom row?

(outlaw says "YEEEEE-hawwww!") (audience groans)

Doug: We'll play for at least 75-grand on the next show. OK, Michael. Let's go after one more wild card. The Deuce of Diamonds is the hardest card to win since the bottom row hides four outlaws. Pick a number.

Michael: I will go with 22.

Doug: The double deuce. Does he get one more Deuce with 22?

(bing) (audience applause)

Doug: There ya got it.

Doug: Well, you'll have two more spaces to fill. We'll do that shortly. First, where were the other nine outlaws?

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: There you have 'em. OK, Michael, you know this drill...

Doug: ...we had you cut a deck of cards during the break. The top two cards of the deck just came on down. In a moment, you'll choose one card and the other will be discarded immediately. We'll repeat this process with the next pair.

Doug: You'll then have all five spaces filled and hopefully will make a royal flush for CY$20,000. (audience cheers) So, what will it be, the left or the right?

Michael: I'll take the right card.

Doug: The right card. Let's see if it helps toward 20-grand.

D.J.: Good start. King of Hearts.

(audience applause)

Doug: All right, Michael. An Ace, 10 or another face card of Hearts gives you the royal flush.

Doug: The king's now in place. And now, the final pair of cards for this round.

Doug: For a possible CY$20,000, do you want the left or right card?

Michael: I want the right card again.

Doug: The right card again...

(winning bells; audience cheers)

(obvious edits; shots of the crowd applauding)

Doug: Congratulations, Michael. We'll add this CY$10,000 to give you a grand cyber-cash total of CY$64,650. (more cheers)

(back to two-shot of Michael and Doug)

Doug: Now Michael, if you win the next main game, you'll have CY$100,000 and a new car -- plus be in the Quarter Million Playoff.

You ran into one outlaw. That means we add CY$2500 more to the Outlaw's Jackpot. On the next show, someone could win CY$75,000.
