This may be Net Poker -- but we have every reason to scream out "Blackjack!" since this is our 21st episode. We couldn't have done it without you.

On the last show, John Montagnino was crowned the new champion, won CY$4250 and a trip to Disney World. Want to challenge him? You've got to be one of the two people who come the closest, high or low, to the answer of this question...

In a 2002 survey by Foster's, what percentage of respondents said they'd like to "hang" with Mel Gibson?

Please respond with your answer, name, e-mail address and a self-bio (like real game shows) by July 26th at 12noon Eastern/11am Central. And as always, if you played in the main game of any of the last three episodes or if you're on retired status, please let someone else play.

(time passes)

OK, before we reveal who's challenging John Montagnino, a few announcements.

Because we're in the midst of a hardware upgrade here at Studio 63 (in layman's terms, I'm getting a new computer; "Ol' Betsy" has served me well since I bought this from my then-roommate circa 1998; but, time to move on), the game may run a little slow on this end. Further, we may have to put the game "on pause" and resume matters a few days later.

Also because of the upgrade, the audience game and Outlaw's Video Slot Challenge intended for this episode are postponed to the next show.

With that said, the actual retail percentage is...

QUALIFYING ANSWER
33%

...33. Who's the closest?

Jay Converse 33%

Jay Converse on the money. And the next closest player is...

Rick Morris 37%

...not related to me. :) Net Poker's next.

Rich Jeffries: "Stump Charles Schwab" (audience laughs) will not be
seen tonight. Instead, VBS has invested its air time on the following.

======================================================================

(various scenes of casinos, poker tables and poker chips fade one after another as a smooth jazz theme plays)

The Ghost of Jay Stewart: From Studio 63, welcome to the card game where high hands can bring high rewards. This is Net Poker. (audience cheers) And now here's the star of our show, Doug Morris!

(Doug walks out from behind the video poker screen)

Doug: Thank you, ghost of Jay Stewart. Hellooooooo everybody and welcome to Net Poker. We're the only game show on the internet that dares to ask -- if actress Traylor Howard married racecar driver Steve Park, would that make her Traylor Park? (a few laughs from the crowd, others boo) Tough crowd, today. Too bad we can't bring back the audience from the last show.

(audience laughs)

Doug: Um, anyway, on our last program, we crowned a new champion. He won a trip to Walt Disney World plus a couple of grand in the Deuces Wild round. He's after much more -- as is his challengers. Here to introduce them all is the lady who helps deal out the fun -- D.J. Hamilton.

("Hail to the Chief" plays as D.J. walks out wearing a George Washington costume similar to what Cindy Crawford wore on the cover of the debut issue of George magazine)

(audience cheers)

Doug: OK, what's the deal with the get up?

D.J.: Well, throughout American presidential history, we've had two men with the last name of Adams -- as well as two Roosevelts, two Johnsons, two Harrisons and of course two Bushes. So -- why not two Hamiltons as president?

(audience laughs)

D.J.: Seriously, there's a theme to this first round of Video Poker. And I'll tell you about it after we say hello to Rick Morris, Jay Converse and our champ with one win and CY$4250, John Montagnino.

D.J.: You've each started with 10 points of light. Now, in this round, the theme is "Portraying The President". Doug will name a celebrity. It's up to you to figure out if the celebrity played at least one real U.S. president, at least one fictional U.S. president, both a real and ficitional U.S. president at the least or never played the part of a president. We're limiting these portrayals to TV and film.

Each time you buzz in and answer correctly, you win 10 more points. Then, I'll see you at the inaugural ball where more points can be won.
