Deuces Wild Poker Doug: And welcome back to Net Poker. Rick Morris is the new champ and will now try for the Outlaw's Jackpot. Here's how we play Deuces Wild...
![]()
Doug: Behind these numbers, we've randomly hidden ten of the rowdiest ruffians to ever stand between a school bus attendant and his cyber-money.
D.J.: (still in her president costume) Sounds like someone wishes he were in California for the Tom Kennedy/Jack Narz tribute at the Game Show Congress.
Doug: You ain't jokin'. But, hey, at least we're going to New Orleans for WoF. Anyhoo, Rick, there's one outlaw on the top row, two on the second, three on the third and four on the bottom row. Each time you don't draw an outlaw card, the prez gives you a Deuce -- which is wild and can be used for anything when making your poker hand. The more Deuces you win, the better the chances you'll win big.
However, if you can win four Deuces and avoid all the outlaws, you win the Outlaw's Jackpot which is worth CY$67,500.
![]()
Doug: OK, Rick, good luck and let's start at the top. One outlaw to avoid. Avoid the outlaw and you win the Deuce of Spades.
Rick: I'll take number 4
Doug: Number 4 means...
![]()
Doug: ...you're off to a good start. (audience applause)
![]()
Doug: OK, President D.J. gave you your first Deuce. She'll give you the Deuce of Hearts if you avoid the two outlaws on the second row. Pick a number.
Rick: I'll select number 10
Doug: Numero diez. What's there?
![]()
Doug: Two down, two to go. (audience applause)
![]()
Doug: Now, it's 50/50 time, Rick. Three outlaws to avoid. Pick one of the three good numbers and you'll have the Deuce of Clubs.
Rick: Gimme number 16
Doug: If 16 doesn't hide an outlaw, we're going for the jackpot on the bottom row.
![]()
Doug: Oh yeah.
![]()
Doug: Rick, only one other player has hit the jackpot -- and he did it twice. You could become the second player in Net Poker history to break a jackpot. Bottom row hides four outlaws. Pick one of the two good numbers and you win the Deuce of Diamonds and more importantly CY$67,500.
Rick: I'll take 21
Doug: Number 21. Good in blackjack...
but
is
it
a
good
number
here?
If
so,
you,
Rick
Morris,
will
win
the
sixty-
seven
thousand

hundred
cyber-
dollar
outlaw's
jackpot.
Does
he
win
it
all?

(outlaw says "YEEEEE-hawwww!") (loud groans from the crowd)
Doug: Rats! You busted on 21. I have an awful feeling about this. Until 21, you went with every number in the fourth column. Should you have stayed with that pattern? Let's see where every other outlaw was.
![]()
Doug: Look at that. (more groans) If you went straight down all the way on that fourth column, you would've won the jackpot. OK, let's concentrate on winning CY$20,000.
Doug: You cut a deck of cards during the break. Those are the first two cards from the top of the deck you cut. You'll pick one of the cards and the other will be discarded immediately. We'll do this again with the next pair.

Doug: At the end of the round, I hope you'll have a royal flush with the help from the three wild cards. That means 20-grand in your pocketbook if you do that. Which card?
Rick: Give me the left card
Doug: Left it is. Deej, what will be Rick's first natural card?
D.J.: The 9 of Clubs.
Doug: Well, already, no hope for a royal flush...
![]()
Doug: ...but if you draw another 9, you rack up CY$10,000. A face card or 10 of Clubs means CY$5000.
Doug: And here we go with the last pair you'll play with. Left or right?
Rick: Pleeeeeaaaassssse let a 9 be on the right.
Doug: Well, Deej, he said please. Can you oblige the guy?
D.J.: Rick, I'm hopin' for the best. (crosses fingers and turns over card)
D.J.: Oh, Ace of Hearts.
Doug: Well, we knew at the very least you'd win CY$2000 in this half of the round...
![]()
Doug: ...and that's exactly what's happened. (smooth jazz theme plays) Tell you what, we're going to take a break, tally up your winnings and throw some more cyber-cash in the bonus jackpot -- here on Net Poker.
====================================================================== ("Bittersweet Symphony" plays) Voice guy: Lullaby player, $19. Cheese grater, $24.
