Deuces Wild Poker Doug: And welcome back to Net Poker. In case you're just joining us, Joe Van Ginkel was not able to complete the trifecta. John Montagnino won the game. So, our hundredthousandaires -- if that's such a word -- (audience laughs) are going to have to wait a little longer to play that Quarter Million Playoff.
John, as for you, you defeated a fine champion. Now, let's see you try your hand at Deuces Wild Poker and possibly make a big stride toward making it into the playoff. Let's set that board up, please.

Doug: John, we've randomly hidden ten outlaw cards on the video screen. There's one on the top row, two on the second row, three on the third and four on the bottom row.
In a moment, you'll pick a number from each row. If you don't run into an outlaw, you win a Deuce -- which is wild and can be used for anything when building your poker hand. The more Deuces you win, the better your odds of taking home CY$20,000.
However, much more can be won. If you avoid all ten outlaws and win all four Deuces, you're taking everything out of the Outlaw's Jackpot. The sum of CY$62,500 is waiting to be won.

Doug: Hit the jackpot and you'll be well past the half-way point of reaching tourney time. Let's start at the top row. Avoid the one outlaw there and you win the Deuce of Spades.
John: 2
Doug: Number 2. Does he get a 2 with 2?
![]()
Doug: You do. Good start.
![]()
Doug: And D.J. puts your first Deuce on the new bonus board. Now, let's go on to the next row. Avoid the two outlaws there and Deej will place the Deuce of Hearts next to the Spaded Deuce.
John: 7
Doug: Lucky 7. Good number?
![]()
Doug: Certainly is.
![]()
Doug: Now it's 50-50 time on the third row. Avoid the outlaws on this row and you'll win the Deuce of Clubs.
John: 16
Doug: 16 -- but is it a sweet 16?
![]()
(outlaw says "YEEEEE-hawwww!") (audience groans)
Doug: More like an ugly lookin' 16. OK, no jackpot chance -- but let's see if you can win three Deuces total before building your poker hand. Last row hides four outlaws. Pick one of the two good numbers and you win the Deuce of Diamonds.
John: 20
Doug: It's always the toughest to win. Does he win it with 20?
![]()
(outlaw says "YEEEEE-hawwww!") (audience groans)
Doug: Ah, sorry about that. Well, you have two Deuces to play with. Not bad for a first time out. Before we carry on, where were the other 8 outlaws?
![]()
Doug: And there you have them. OK, John, time for the second half of the round. During the break, we had you cut the cards and the first two cards are coming down the chute face down... right... about...
Doug: ...now. In a moment, you'll choose one of those cards. We'll turn your selected card face up and the other will be discarded immediately. We'll do this again two more times and by then your hand will be complete.

John: the left card
Doug: Left it is. D.J., show our champ his first natural card.
D.J.: The 10 of Hearts.
Doug: Well, hopeful sign for a royal flush.

Doug: That right card you declined just fell through a little trap door and is out of play. New pair of cards are on the way.
Doug: And there they are. Let's see if you can draw an Ace or face card of Hearts. Left or right?
John: Well, the right card may have a sign of a ROYAL FLUSH!!
Doug: OK, let's test that thinking out right now.
D.J.: Yeah, I'd like to see John win 20-grand...
D.J.: ...oh, but it won't happen today. Jack of Diamonds.
(a few groans from the crowd)
Doug: Rats! Well, this means the best we can do is two-grand...
![]()
Doug: ...let's hope another Jack or 10 is among this last pair of cards.
Doug: There they are. Let's try to make CY$2000 for a four of a kind. Left or right?
John: Well, right card!
Doug: The right it is. For CY$2000, is it a 10 or Jack?
