(ding)

Doug: And with that, time for the questions and here we go...

Teri Hatcher, who plays Susan on Desperate Housewives,...
\ was a cheerleader for the San Francisco 49ers
\ was in the 007 movie The World Is Not Enough
\ all of the above
\ none of the above

(Tom buzzes in)

Doug: Tom.

Tom: Was a cheerleader for the San Francisco 49ers

Doug: That's right.

JOE
TOM
STEPHEN

(audience applause)

Doug: The 007 movie she was in was Tomorrow Never Dies. Newcomer gets 10 points and everyone gets this next question..

Marcia Cross, who plays Bree on Desperate Housewives,...
\ was previously a regular cast member of Knots Landing
\ was previously a regular cast member of Beverly Hills 90210
\ all of the above
\ none of the above

(Tom buzzes in)

Doug: Tom again.

Tom: I know nothing about Marcia Cross, but I'll take a stab. None of the above?

Doug: Great guess.

JOE
TOM
STEPHEN

(audience applause)

Doug: Marcia Cross was on Melrose Place -- a TV guilty pleasure in its own right. Third question on Desperate Housewives...

Felicity Huffman, who plays Lynette on Desperate Housewives,...
\ worked as a producer of ESPN2's SportsNight
\ played Nora Krank in the movie Christmas with the Kranks
\ all of the above
\ none of the above

(Tom buzzes in)

Doug: Tom.

Tom: Worked as a producer of ESPN2's "SportsNight".

Doug: Not right. Anyone else? (Joe buzzes in) Joe.

Joe: none of the above

Doug: That's right.

JOE
TOM
STEPHEN

(audience applause)

Doug: Kind of a trick question. She played the part of a sports show producer on the ABC sitcom Sports Night. On to the next query...

Nicolette Sheridan, who plays Edie on Desperate Housewives,...
\ was previously a regular cast member of Knots Landing
\ was previously a regular cast member of Beverly Hills 90210
\ all of the above
\ none of the above

(Tom buzzes in)

Doug: Tom.

Tom: It seems like the show for her...was previously a regular cast member of Beverly Hills 90210?

Doug: Seems that way -- but it's not. Anyone else? (Stephen buzzes in) Stephen.

Stephen: both

Doug: I'm going to assume that's "all of the above" -- and that's not right. Joe, chance to take 10.

Joe: was a regular on "Knots Landing"

Doug: That's the one.

JOE
TOM
STEPHEN

(audience applause)

Doug: Joe and Tom tied for the lead. One more question. Stephen, let's see if you can close the gap...

Eva Longoria, who plays Gabrielle on Desperate Housewives,...
\ was once a Barker's beauty on The Price is Right
\ was a detective on ABC's short-lived revival of Dragnet
\ all of the above
\ none of the above

(Stephen buzzes in)

Doug: Stephen.

Stephen: price is right

Doug: Not the right answer. Joe or Tom? (Joe buzzes in) Joe.

Joe: played a detective on "Dragnet"

Doug: We'll take that.

JOE
TOM
STEPHEN

(audience applause)

Doug: Eva did lots of modeling before moving onto acting -- but she didn't get to walk the golden road, if you know what I mean. At the end of the first half of the round, Joe has the lead with 40 points, Tom's not far behind with 30 and Stephen, just keep the faith. Some lucky numbers can put you right back in business.

Now, we've met Joe and Stephen on previous shows. But Tom's a newcomer to this game -- though certainly not a new face to VBS viewers. For those who haven't seen you on this network, introduce yourself to them.

Tom: Hi, I'm Tom Sabbatelli. I'm a college student who's been taking a break from hosting 'Netgames, but expect to see me back some time in the future. But for now, I'm deeply immersed in studies working towards a degree in meteorology.

Doug: Well good luck in your studies, in your return to a VBS hosting podium and here on Net Poker. Time for the second half of the round and -- uh -- where did Deej go?

Nelson: (over loud speaker) Check the video screen.

(Video Poker logo on screen fades to an image of D.J. and Jesse Metcalf making out backstage)

(audience cheers)

D.J.: Oh, um, hi! Sweetie, you've got my cell number. We'll talk later.

Jesse: But Miss Hamilton...

D.J.: Please! It's D.J., honey -- and I gotta get back to work.

(D.J. runs to her spot next to video screen as the screen is set for the second half of Video Poker)

(FF reveal sfx)

D.J.: (sighs) See, told you I'm a fan! (audience laughs) Anyway, players, we have the cards Ace through 9 from each of the four suits hidden behind the numbers.

In a moment, you'll each take up to two consecutive turns at the video screen. On your first turn, you'll pick five number and we'll reveal the cards behind your numbers to make up a poker hand. You may then either take the points associated with the combination -- or trade any or all cards for new ones on your second turn. After that second turn, you're stuck with whatever hand you've made.

D.J.: And as you can see, the better the hand you can make, the more points you'll score. You have to make at least a pair of Queens -- or else we have to take 5 points away.

Doug: Ya know, I was going to ask why you've let the grass grow so much at your place. (audience laughs) Now I know why. While Deej and Jesse plan on getting a room, I should note if you make a royal flush in this or any other round, you'll win CY$100,000, a berth in our tournament of champions and this prize.

(smooth jazz theme plays)

TGoJS: For your driving enjoyment, IT'S A BRAND NEW CAR! (audience cheers) The Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Go off-road in style in this fantastic car. It comes complete with six-speed manual transmission, a 500 horsepower engine, a huge 15 square-foot sectioned glass sunroof, a rearview camera and much more.

(theme fades)

Doug: And the winner of this round could win CY$5000 and a Jamaican vacation. I should note we've been trying to give the trip away for some time. If it goes unclaimed in this episode, D.J. and Jesse go to Jamaica. (audience laughs) Stephen, you get to go first. Please pick five numbers.

Stephen: 3 6 7 15 22

Doug: All right, let's see if those are lucky numbers.
