Doug: And that's our first half of the round. Before the search for Deej's apprentice goes any further, let's meet the players. Brian, tell Mr. and Mrs. Internet about yourself.

Brian: I'm from Cloquet, MN. I'm a fan of Power Rangers, Game Shows, and Jimmy Kimmel Live. I currently host 'Net Powerball Instant Millionaire and 'Net Hollywood Showdown.

Doug: Both great games here on VBS. Nice to have you here on the show. Jay, one of our leaders going into the next half of this round, a word or two about you.

Jay: Hi, I'm Jay Converse, and I'm a college student currently undergoing his second semester of tort--er, classes. I also work in a local Toys R Us, in the video game section. Would you like a Game Station 2? Only $500.

(audience laughs)

(audience laughs)

Doug: You mean you hired an ex-husband?

D.J.: Indeed. Now, back to business...

(FF reveal sfx)

D.J.: ...you'll have a chance to improve your score at the video screen. Behind the numbers are playing cards -- Ace through 9 of each suit. When it's your turn, you'll invest in five numbers. If you're happy with the result, take the gains and pass control to the next player in line. But, if you feel you can do better, trade in one, some or all your cards for new ones.

Remember, the player with the best total gets the reward and the exemption. The others go to the boardroom.

Doug: And we should note part of the reward might include a great vacation to Jamaica. Ghost of Jay Stewart, tell us more.

("For the Love of Money" by the O'Jays plays)

TGoJS: You and a guest will fly first class, round trip to Negril, Jamaica. (audience cheers) You'll spend six nights at a luxury hotel. Lay on the beach, snorkel, dive, fish or sail in this thriving vacation paradise. Enjoy Jamaica -- compliments of Club Universe.

And if anyone makes a natural royal flush in this or any other round of Net Poker, IT'S A BRAND NEW CAR! (audience cheers) The Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Go off-road in style in this fantastic car. It comes complete with six-speed manual transmission, a 500 horsepower engine, a huge 15 square-foot sectioned glass sunroof, a rearview camera and much more. OK, Doug, back to you.

Doug: Thanks, Jay's ghost. Player, just to show you the better the hand you make, the more points you score. Gotta get at least a pair of Queens to have a chance of impressing the boss. Brian, you're the low man on the totem pole. You start first.

Brian: I'll go with cards 14, 24, 2, 12, and 6.

Doug: Five even numbers. Let's see what's behind them...
