5-Card Poker Doug: Welcome back to Net Poker. How'd you do with that last question on Geoff Edwards? Technically, the right choice to that question was Copout! -- since Shoot For The Stars was known as Shoot The Works in the pilot stage. Basically, same rules, different title.
With that said, Chris and Joe are about to play a round of 5-Card Poker.

Doug: During the break, Joe cut the cards for this round -- since he had the higher score at the end of the last round.
In a moment players, the first two cards will come down the chute and I'll ask you two a 10-point toss-up question. Chime in with the right answer and you win the 10 points -- plus the choice of one of the up cards. Remember, the card you decline goes to your opponent.
We'll play like that with the next three pairs of cards. Then, the fifth pair of cards come down the chute face down -- and we'll play a 15-point blind card question. Score 15 and you pick one more card. We'll then flip all the cards face up -- and the player with the better hand wins 25 points.
High-scoring player advances to Joker Poker to play against John. So, let's take a look and see our first two cards from Deej.
D.J.: First first two cards are....
D.J.: ...the Queen of Hearts and the Queen of Spades.
Doug: And here's the first query of the round. Remember, it's all general knowledge from here...

Doug: Bit of a tricky question. Favre *was* drafted by the Falcons -- but he was an early pick in Round 2. Speaking of "early pick in Round 2", Joe, you get to select from the first pair of up cards this round.
Joe: I'll take the Queen of Hearts
Doug: Lady in red's yours...

Doug: Just had a frightful thought -- Kathie Lee as a Solid Gold dancer. (audience laughs) Chris, tie ballgame, which card, sir?
Chris: Some choice. I guess I'll take the Jack.
Doug: Don't blame me. Joe's the one who cut the cards. :)

Doug: In fact, his career ended with an Astros road game against the Cincinnati Reds. Friends of mine and I came down from Dayton to check out that game. Great stuff. Joe, we've got a tie score here. Which card would you like?
Joe: Gimme the lady, Doug (and I don't mean D.J.).
Doug: Smart man.

Doug: ...it's blind card time. Fifteen-point question on the way -- but more importantly, control of the cards. High hand wins 25 points and, in this case, the round. Good luck, play carefully, here we go...

Chris: Eenie meenie minie...oh, heck...right card. *crosses fingers*
(light laughter from the crowd)
D.J.: (giggles) Eenie meenie minie. That was the decision my 4th ex-hubby made -- me or his mistress.
(more laughter from the crowd)

Doug: Oh, goodness. She does find some way to release that anger. Anyway, let's get serious here. Chris, you need a Jack for three of a kind or a Queen or Ace for two pair. Anything less and Joe goes on to Joker Poker. D.J., let's see Chris' fifth card.
