Video Poker

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: There they are. Now, Chris, you'll have control in a bit. First, let's shuffle.

(cards are shuffled on the video screen; after shuffling stops, the cards are covered immediately with the 24 numbers)

Doug: Now, you get to pick five numbers.

Chris: OK,...1, 3, 7, 13 and 17, if you'll please, Deej.

D.J.: Hmmm... since you said please, I'll let ya see what's behind the numbers.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Pair of 9s and a pair of 10s. That's worth 10 points and a tie for the lead if you stopped here.

Chris: Let's go for the boat. Ditch the "hook" and give me...#24, please.

Doug: Thought ya might go for a full boat. Another 9 or 10 at 24?

(FF reveal sfx) (audience cheers)

Doug: Yes!

BARRY
CHRIS
JAY

Doug: Putting lots of pressure on Jay. You'll need at least a full house to win the round. Let's shuffle the cards again.

(cards are shuffled on the video screen; after shuffling stops, the cards are covered immediately with the 24 numbers)

Doug: Now you get to pick five numbers.

Jay: ok if i win that car i'll try to pick a number (XDODGEBALL STYLE) 20 Christin Knixmer, 5 Kel Watrin (Allstar),9 Tyrone Rush (ALL STAR), 13 Billy Aquaviva (ALLSTAR), AND THE BIG ALL STAR OF STALLION BATALLION 16 Kenny Sanchez.

Doug: (looks around for flying red balls) (audience laughs) Before I get hit, let's reveal those numbers...

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Looks like just a pair of Queens. It's worth 10 points and you'll need to take that second turn to win the round.

Jay: 7,8,11, 2,and 9

Doug: Ummm... OK... I'm going to take that to mean you want to keep the 10 of Clubs that was behind the 9th space on the board -- and ditch the rest. Let's see if that strategy works...

(FF reveal sfx) (audience groans)

Doug: Almost! You got two pair. If that King were another 9 or 10, you'd win the round. Instead, Chris wins the round.

BARRY
CHRIS
JAY

(winning bells; audience applause)

Doug: Congrats, Chris. The full house held up. Now, time to play for CY$5000 and maybe more. Let me explain.

Doug: Chris, behind the letters in the word "POKER" are different cyber-cash amounts. They range in value from CY$500 to CY$5000. That much hasn't changed. But here's the added wrinkle. *Above one* of the letters in "POKER" is card that says "TRIP". If that "TRIP" card appears above the letter you select in "POKER", you win a trip. Ghost of Jay Stewart, where might he be going?

(smooth jazz theme plays)

TGoJS: A trip to Greece. (audience cheers) You and a guest will fly first class, round trip to Athens, Greece for a six-night stay at a luxury hotel. While in Athens, take in the splendor of the Acropolis, wonderful food, and the amazing culture of ancient Greece. Take it from the 2004 U.S. Olympic team, Greece *is* the word. Enjoy Athens -- compliments of Club Universe.

Doug: OK, Chris. Now, if you don't win the trip this round, it carries over to 5-Card Poker which Barry and Jay will play later. Good luck and let's see if you win the trip and CY$5000.

Chris: OK, let's try.........O!

Doug: The O. First, let's reveal what's *behind* O...

(winning bells; audience cheers)

Doug: Sweet! Now, if the trip card is above the five-grand card, you're going to Greece. Where's that trip card?

(bing)

Doug: It was above the E. (smooth jazz theme plays) Hey, you can buy a nice trip with five-grand. That Greece trip will be up for grabs in the next round -- which Barry and Jay will play shortly. The winner of 5-Card Poker faces Chris in Joker Poker. We'll be back for more Net Poker after these words. (audience applause)

ADVANCE TO 5-CARD POKER
