5-Card Poker Doug: And welcome back to Net Poker. In case you just joined us, we had a mishap in the first round -- so we're going to invite the losing parties from this game back to the next game. In addition, with so much at stake, should someone win the CY$95,000 jackpot in Deuces Wild, we'll seed the next jackpot with another CY$95,000 instead of CY$50,000.

Doug: So, with that in mind, it's time for 5 Card Poker. Chris cut the cards during the break since he finished second in that last round.
I think you've both have played this particular round before -- but just for the record, we'll see the first two cards from the top of the deck Chris cut -- and then I'll give you a 10-point toss-up question. Chime in with the right answer and you win the points plus the right to select one of the up cards. The card you decline goes to your opponent.
This continues until you each get four cards. The fifth pair of cards come down the chute face down and we'll then play the 15-point blind card question. Chime in with the right answer there and you pick either the left or right down card.
After you make your selection, we'll turn over the blind cards and award the player with the better hand 25 points. High scoring player wins the round, the losing player gets CY$10 and that "golden ticket" to the next game.
So, let's see what cards are first.
D.J.: And they are...
D.J.: ...the Queen of Diamonds and the Ace of Spades.
Doug: And we start with this question. Good luck...
According to the slang in Texas Hold 'Em Poker, if you're holding...
\ "American Airlines", you've got a pair of aces
\ "double ducks", you've got a pair of fours
\ all of the above
\ none of the aboveDoug: Andy.
Andy: I will say ... "American Airlines" - You've got a pair of Aces
Doug: Correct.
ANDY CHRIS ![]()

Doug: The "ducks" are the 2s or Deuces. Of course, if you play poker against Fred Scott, a pair of Aces should stand for Alcholics Anonymous. (audience laughs and applauds)
D.J.: Love ya babe -- NOT!!!
Doug: (snickers) Andy, which card?
Andy: I will take the Ace of Spades
Doug: Andy gets one half of American Airlines...

Doug: ...Chris gets a lady. We get two more up cards.
D.J.: Coming down the chute are...
D.J.: the 9 of Diamonds and the Queen of Hearts.
Doug: And here's the next question for 10...
In the United States' Bicentennial year, you could walk into a McDonald's and order...
\ an Egg McMuffin
\ a Quarter-Pounder with Cheese
\ all of the above
\ none of the aboveDoug: Andy.
Andy: I will say ALL OF THE ABOVE.
Doug: Right on.
ANDY CHRIS ![]()

Doug: Egg McMuffin came along in '72. Quarter-Pounder with Cheese joined the menu in '76. Which card, Andy?
Andy: I will take the Queen of Hearts
Doug: Denying Chris of a pair of ladies.

Doug: Third pair of up cards on the way now. Deej?
D.J.: And now we have...
D.J.: ...the Ace of Hearts and the Jack of Hearts.
Doug: OK. Chris, I see ya trying to buzz in. Andy's just beating you to the punch. Maybe the reverse will happen. Next question's a little long, so play carefully...
Legendary quarterback Joe Namath...
\ guaranteed victory for the New York Jets in Super Bowl IV
\ was considered to host CBS's version of Family Feud (the gig eventually went to Ray Combs)
\ all of the above
\ none of the aboveDoug: Chris.
Chris: Was considered to host "Family Feud"?
Doug: You realize you don't have to respond in question form on this show. (light laughter from the crowd) In any event, you're on the board with 10.
ANDY CHRIS ![]()

Doug: According to E!'s True Hollywood Story on "the feud", when producers and executives were in discussion to revive the show on CBS, they weren't going to tap Richard Dawson. Broadway Joe was actually signed to host the game show -- but producers had second thoughts. Chris, which card?
Chris: I knew Namath guaranteed SB III. Hmmm...I'll...take...the Ace.
Doug: Ace is yours...

Doug: ...giving the champ the knave. What's next, Deej?
D.J.: Next cards are...
D.J.: ...the 10 of Diamonds and the King of Clubs.
Doug: Well, Andy will be 4/5 of the way toward a straight either way. But, Chris, you could tie the score with this...
In the year 1985,...
\ MacGyver debuted on television
\ Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev began a series of summit talks
\ all of the above
\ none of the aboveDoug: Andy.
Andy: I will say ......... "MacGyver" debuted on television
Doug: Sorry, not right. Chris, chance to steal the points and tie the score.
Chris: Ronnie and Gorby began summit talks
Doug: Oh, man alive. Get a load of this. The right answer's "all of the above". The Reagan/Gorbachev summit started in mid-November of '85. MacGyver with Richard Dean Anderson in the title role debuted on ABC in late September of that year. That means the same 10 and King are still up for grabs. Here's a new 10-point question...
Actor Tom Sizemore appeared in the movie...
\ Saving Private Ryan
\ Enemy of the State
\ all of the above
\ none of the aboveDoug: Andy
Andy: I will say ......... All of the Above
Doug: Got it.

Doug: OK. Andy needs a 10 for a straight, a 9 for just Ace high which no one never wants, anything else for a pair. Chris, your best hope is a pair.
Doug: Blind card question time. Remember, it's worth 15 points and then the better hand's worth 25. High-scoring player moves on to Joker Poker. But if you're not the high-scorer in this round, relax and know you're back on the next game due to that boo-boo in the first round. The question...
The long-running public television program Wall $treet Week...
\ was originally hosted by Louis Rukeyser
\ is now titled as Wall $treet Week with Forbes Magazine
\ all of the above
\ none of the aboveDoug: Chris.
Chris: All of the above
Doug: Sorry, not right. Andy, if you pick the right answer, you'll eliminate Chris from the game and go on to Joker Poker.
Andy: I will say ... Was Originally Hosted By Louis Rukeyser
Doug: Yeah, didn't think we'd stump the stock broker on that one. You're off to Joker Poker.

(winning bells; audience applause)
Doug: We should note these questions are prepared well in advance. We had no idea a stock broker would be involved in the play of this question. Now, before we officially end this round, Deej, I'm just curious, what would've happened if we played it out all the way. Just flip over the blind cards from the chute.
D.J.: OK...
D.J.: ...two Kings.
Doug: Oh, man, Chris. Talk about drawing dead. You would've had Ace high either way. Andy would've had a pair of Kings. Chris, every cloud has a silver lining. Not only do you win CY$100 as a consolation prize, you'll be back in the next game due to that snafu in the first round. Nice hand for Chris Wolvie.
Doug: Oh, yeah, I should note the PBS show is now known as Wall $treet Week with Fortune. Louis Rukeyser later took his act to CNBC. He's been absent from his CNBC program for almost a year on medical leave. We hope he can defeat cancer and return to his CNBC program.
All right, Andy, win the next round of Joker Poker and you get the car and CY$100,000. Meantime, pick a letter in "POKER" and we'll see if you can win CY$5000.
Andy: I will take the K in POKER
Doug: The K it is. Is it hold five-K?
