(audience applause)

Doug: OK, after five questions, Andy and Michael are tied at 20. Chico's in the lead with 40. Tiki, tell us what's next

Tiki: We've hidden every Ace, face card, 10 and 9 behind these numbers 1 through 24. Our players each take up to two consecutive turns at the video screen. On the first turn, he'll pick five numbers and we'll reveal the cards behind the selected numbers. If he's happy with that hand, he'll take the points and pass his possession to the next player in line. But, if he wants to take that second turn, he'll exchange as many cards as he likes for new ones -- knowing he's stuck with whatever points are associated with the combination he made.

Tiki: As you see, it takes at least a pair of Queens to win any points. A pair of Jacks or less means we take 5 away.

Doug: Also, if at anytime a player makes a natural royal flush, that contestant drives home in what, Hazen?

Hazen: For your driving enjoyment, IT'S A BRAND NEW CAR! (audience cheers) (hard rock theme plays) The Jaguar XK8 Convertible. It comes with every factory option available plus this extra bonus -- CY$100,000 in the trunk!

Doug: Lovely addition to someone's garage for sure. Normally, low man on the totem pole goes first. But, we've got a tie for last between the challengers. Andy, since you stand closer to the champ, you start. But first, tell us a little something about yourself.

Andy: I am a Stockbroker, Originally from New York City. I now reside in Sunny South Florida. I have attended Hundreds of Game Show Tapings many years ago, when I lived in NYC.

Doug: Ah, yes, I remember the story of you witnessing "the big fall down" first hand with Jim Peck on The Big ShowDown. Pick five numbers for me please.

Andy: I will take 2, 5, 10, 11, 18

Doug: OK. Let's see what's there...

(audience laughs and applauds)

Doug: ...why am I *not* surprised that happened?

Nelson: (over loud speaker) Uh, Doug. Blame it on Blinky, the cue card boy!

Doug: Oh really. You were behind this.

Blinky: Yeah, man, don't you think it was funny?

Doug: Uhhh... (runs over to Blinky)...not really.

(Doug grabs a few cue cards and goes "Gene Rayburn" on Blinky)

(audience cheers)

Doug: That'll teach ya! (walks back to perch)

Tiki: I hope you're not this violent with the dealer.

Doug: Oh, you've got nothing to worry about. Blinky on the other hand's been trouble since he got here. (more laughs) Now, let's refresh the board and reveal Andy's *real* cards, please.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: After all that, a pair of 9s with a 10-Jack-Queen. Andy, might as well take that second turn. This combination's worth minus five.

Andy: I will KEEP # 11, the Queen of Clubs, and throw out the rest.

Doug: Very well. What do you replace "the rest" with?

Andy: I will take 7, 15, 21 and 22.

Doug: OK, he's got one Queen in hand. Anything good to go with her?

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Well, another lady. Pair of Queens gives you just 5 more.

MICHAEL

Doug: Looks like we'll be seeing you in the next round. Michael, tell us a little about yourself.

Michael: My name is Michael Clifford. I am from Marlton, New Jersey. I am currently unemployed. I like watching game shows & playing netgames. I am also the president of the D.J. Hamilton fan club. (holds up a sign that says "Come back, Deej!")

(audience laughs and applauds)

Doug: Oh, I'm sure she'll be back soon. Tell ya what, we're going to shuffle the cards on the board.

(cards are shuffled on the video screen; after shuffling stops, the cards are covered immediately with the 24 numbers)

Doug: Now, pick five numbers and we'll see how good a combination you've made.

Michael: 24, 14, 10, 1, & 2

Doug: Okie doke. Blinky, we better not see baseball cards behind the numbers!

(audience laughs)

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Well, ya got two pair for 10 points. That's the good news. Bad part is you'd secure second place if you stopped here. So, how do you play it?

Michael: I gotta get the full house, so I will get rid of the 10 of clubs & exchange it with Card 12.

Doug: Smart move going for the full boat. Does 12 help you get there?

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Yes!!!
