Audience Game
======================================================================

L.J. McKay: This VBS network program is brought to you by Trump Ice
-- the new bottled water from Donald Trump's empire. Drink Trump Ice
or else...

(quick "board room clip" from "The Apprentice" rolls)

Donald Trump: You're fired.

======================================================================

Doug: We're back on Net Poker. More of the main game in a moment. But first, here to play the audience game are Andy Silikovitz, Ethan Musulin and Slingomasta5000.

Doug: Welcome, gang. Let me tell you how this works.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: We've loaded the video screen with 24 cards -- Ace through 9 of everything, of course. In addition, our dealer Tiki, on loan from the World Series of Blackjack, has a deck of cards in front of her -- also Ace through 9 of everything.

This game will last for three rounds. A round begins with the dealer taking the top card from the deck. After she shows us her card, you'll each pick a card off the video screen.

So long as your card is not ranked lower than Tiki's, you beat the dealer.

In the first two rounds, each time you beat the dealer, you'll either win or share in CY$750. For the third and final round, we up the ante to CY$1500.

In addition, there's potential to win bonus cyber-cash if you "tie" the dealer's card's rank -- and even match the dealer's card's rank *and* suit.

I'll explain more in case you run into those tie or match situations. Remember, the player with the most moolah at the end of the third round wins the game and the chance to take the outlaw's video slot challenge.

So, Tiki, what's you first card.

(Tiki takes a long peak at it as if it's her "hole card" in blackjack)

(a few laughs from the audience)

(she shows card to crowd)

Doug: Oooh, 10 of Diamonds. Very beatable card. Only way you're not going to make cyber-cash is you pick a 9 off the board.

Andy: Let's try... #19 (Hey Nineteen)

Doug: Nineteen for the Steely Dan fan. What's there?

(bing) (audience cheers)

Doug: Well, Andy, you're assured at least a third of the 750 in this round. We'll get back to you if you want to try and double. Right now, Ethan, you pick.

Ethan: Doug, I'll take lucky #17.

Doug: Lucky 17. How lucky is it?

(bing) (audience applause)

Doug: Easy enough. You and Andy have a stake in that 750. And to the SlingoMasta.

Slingomasta5000: 15 please

Doug: 15 it is. And you have...

(bing)

Doug: ...beaten the dealer. All three of you win CY$250.

Doug: Now, Andy, we're not done with this round quite yet. You tied the dealer's 10. Because of that, I'll give you a chance to go to battle with Tiki. If you want to, you'll draw a card from the screen and then Tiki will draw the next card from the top of her deck. If you beat the dealer *outright* this time, you'll double your score to CY$500. If the dealer beats you outright, you lose half your cyber-money and go down to 125. If you tie the dealer, you get CY$200 more for the draw. So, do you want to go to battle?

Andy: Sure

Doug: All right. (cheers from the crowd) Which number will double your stake?

Andy: Since I work at a synagogue and there's a bar mitzvah this weekend, let's go with #13.

Doug: Lucky 13. What's there?

(bing)

Doug: Jack of Hearts. Iffy. Let's see Tiki's card.

(Trivia Trap sfx) (audience groans)

Doug: Yowch! Just beat ya to the punch, Andy.

Doug: Well, after the first round, Ethan and Slingomasta5000 are tied for the lead. Andy's in second. Time for Round 2. Another CY$750 at stake pending bonus potential.
