(fade in to image of Alan Timper back stage)

Hazen Nester: This is our returning champion Alan Timper -- a pharmacist from Lima, Ohio. If he makes it to the round of Joker Poker and wins that round, he'll qualify for our Quarter Million Playoff here on Net Poker.

(various scenes of casinos, poker tables and poker chips fade one after another as a smooth jazz theme plays)

Hazen: From Studio 63, welcome to the card game where high hands can bring high rewards. This is Net Poker. (audience cheers) And now here's the star of our show, Doug Morris!

(Doug walks out from behind the video poker screen)

Doug: Thanks, Hazen. And helloooooooo, everybody. Welcome to another high-stakes game of Net Poker. And the rewards really can be high for our current champ. This is his third straight appearance on the show -- meaning we'll have to bid him farewell regardless of what happens. But, if he can either win tonight's third round of Joker Poker *or* make a natural royal flush at anytime in the game, he'll win CY$100,000 and a brand new car. (ooohs and ahhhs from the crowd) But there are two players standing in his way of all that loot. Here to introduce all our players is our dealer, D.J. Hamilton.

(audience cheers) (D.J. walks out wearing a gold lame' two-piece outfit similar to what Brandy from Bravo's Celebrity Poker Showdown wore)

D.J.: Hi everyone.

Doug: Goodness, Deej. I hope you didn't drive to work wearing that. It's cold outside!

D.J.: Well, I did. But, since I am a mother of two, I took my own advice and wore several layers over this on the way into work.

Doug: Ah, good! Well, who's here ready to play some Net Poker?

D.J.: Joining us today are Brian Moore, Chico Alexander and our current champ with CY$20,000, Alan Timper.

(ding)

Doug: I thought about starting all of you off with 5 -- but you caught me in a good mood today. (light laughter) Anyhoo, in the first half of this round, I'll give you five multiple-choice, toss-up questions. Chime in with the right answer and you're winning 10 more points. If all three of you miss, no one gets the points and we move on to the next query. After five questions, you'll each have a chance to win more at the video screen. But first, the questions. Here we go...

In the video game Popeye,...
\ Olive Oyl throws hearts
