Doug: Thanks, D.J. and welcome players. We're going to play two rounds of First To Ten and here's how it works.

Doug: ...in a moment, D.J. is going to deal out cards to the Player and Banker. She'll start with a card first to the Player, then one to the Banker. Then she'll keep alternating the deal of the cards until one side scores at least 10 points. The first to ten wins.
Now, the suits of the cards determine how many points a side scores. The Spades are worth 4 points each, the Hearts 3 points, the Clubs 2 points and the Diamonds 1 point each. And it's up to you to predict which side will win -- the Player or Banker.
In each round, if the Player wins, those of you who make the correct predictions split CY$1500. If the Banker wins, the winning players split CY$1425 -- factoring in your payment of a five-percent commission to the banker.
If neither side reaches 10 points after ten cards have been dealt, the higher point total wins. Further, if each side has five cards and the same score, you'll all split CY$750 for the tie.
If you make a wrong prediction in any round, you'll collect as a consolation prize CY$50 plus CY$5 for each point scored by the side you thought would be the first to ten.
Right now, let's start the first round of this audience game. Which side will be the first to ten? The player or the banker? Lock in your predictions now, please.

Doug: OK, THarper2 didn't get in a selection in time. Michael Clifford, we'll start with you. Which side do you think will win?
Michael: player
Doug: And Steven, your selection, please.
Steven: player

Doug: OK, two siding with "Player". THarper2, we'll go ahead and give you CY$50 and another CY$5 for every point the losing side scores. So, with all that said, let's start the first round, Deej.

(light laughter) I know D.J.'s cute but we've got a game to play. Anyhoo, now that she's cleared the board, she'll be dealing out the next cards from the top of the deck just as before. Which side do you think will be the first to ten? Player or Banker?
(players press buttons) (buzz)
Doug: Once again, no selection from our first player in time. We'll go to Michael first.
Michael: player
Doug: Going with the player. Steven, which side do you think will be a winner?
Steven: banker this time
