Doug: I thank ya Deej. Welcome, players. It's time for our audience game, Stock Market. And no, we're not going to have you end up selling lemonade out in the parking lot, if you know what I mean. (audience laughs) But seriously, here's how the game works. For starters, let's look at the Net Poker Stock Exchange Big Board...
1. SPADE COMPANY 0 2. HEART, INC. 0 3. CLUB UNIVERSE 0 4. DIAMOND BROS. 0Doug: We have a list of the stocks of four companies. Spade Company; Heart, Inc.; Club Universe and Diamond Brothers.
In a moment, we'll take one of our decks of 24 cards and draw cards one at a time from the top of the deck. Each time the first word in the stock matches the suit of the top card, the stock increases one-quarter of a point. For example, if we saw the Jack of Clubs up first, Club Universe's stock goes up one-quarter of a point.
We'll keep drawing cards until one stock reaches a full point. When that happens, that stock is considered the winning stock and the trading session comes to an end.
Right now, I want you to pick the winning stock. The one that will increase one full point first. Do you think it's number 1, Spade Company? Is it number 2, Heart, Inc.? Could it be number 3, Club Universe? Or is number 4, Diamond Brothers? Make your selections now, please.
(players press their buttons on their keypads)
Doug: OK, Gus and Brian made their picks in time. Andy, we'll figure something out for you in a bit. Gus, we'll start with your selection
Gus: 'Key-doke. I'll pick... uh... Hearts! Er, um, "Hearts, Inc."
Doug: OK. Stock #2. Hearts, Inc. Brian, your pick.
Brian: I'm going for 4.
Doug: That's Diamond Brothers' stock. And Andy, since the first and third stocks went unselected... (pulls out quarter) ...I'll flip a coin. If it comes up heads, Spade Company will be your selection. If tails, it's Club Universe. And... (flips coin in air; lets it land on the floor) ...it's tails. So...

(winning bells; audience applause)
Doug: ...Gus picked the winning stock. So, all CY$3000 becomes your CY$3000. We'll give you a chance at the outlaw's video slot challenge in a bit. To Brian and Andy, since each of your stocks went up only half a point, we'll give you each CY$50 as a consolation prize -- plus tack on another 25 for each quarter point so that CY$50 more there. CY$100 for each of you and our thanks for playing.
(audience applause) (handshakes all around) (Brian and Andy then return to their seats)
Doug: Well, Gus, since you were the lone player with the most cyber-bucks, this qualifies you to win more at the outlaw's video slot challenge. Here's how this works...
CY$3,000
PAIR=CY$1000
THREE OF A KIND=CY$2500
THREE SPADES=CY$7500THREE DIFFERENT SYMBOLS=ONE STRIKE
OUTLAW=THREE STRIKESTHREE STRIKES REDUCE
PLAYER'S TOTAL TO CY$50Doug: In every reel of the machine are Spades, Hearts, Clubs and Diamonds. In addition, there's an outlaw in the third reel with the other symbols. You may spin the reels of the video slot machine as many times as you like -- so long as you do not strikeout.
If you get a pair of any symbol, you win another CY$1000. Any three of a kind pays CY$2500 -- but three Spades are worth CY$7500.
If you get no pair on any spin, you get a strike. If the outlaw pops up in the third reel, it's an automatic three strikes. Once you get three strikes, you're out of the game *and* all of your audience game winnings are reduced to just CY$50.
So, if you spin a Club, a Heart and then the outlaw, you're losing CY$2950.
The choice is yours. Stay at CY$3000 -- or risk most of it on at least one spin.
Gus: I'll take a spin.
Doug: Gonna take a risk. Just press the buzzer and give it a spin.
(Gus presses buzzer to activate video slot machine)
CY$4,000

PLAYER'S TOTAL TO CY$50(winning bells; audience applause)
Doug: Well, there's a pair of Hearts for CY$4000. Wanna spin again?
Gus: Sure, one more time.
Doug: Ah, the infamous "one more time". Give it a spin and good luck.
(Gus presses buzzer to activate video slot machine)
CY$5,000

Doug: Well, it's another CY$1000 payoff one more time. Now, wanna spin again or stop with five-grand?
Gus: Well, I did say "one more time." I'm taking my $5,000.
Doug: Stopping and taking CY$5000. (audience cheers) Nice job and thanks for playing. Guess what? We still have some time left. We're playing Dice Poker as we welcome Brian and Andy back and bring in John Montagino.
