Video Poker ====================================================================== Gary Owens: You're watching VBS. The all game network where you won't see anyone eat maggots, goat's eyes or even Plinko chips. ======================================================================(drum roll) (shot of Andy Silikovitz backstage)
The Ghost of Jay Stewart: This is our returning champion -- Andy Silikovitz, a professional Torah reader from New Jersey. So far on Net Poker, he's won CY$55,500. If he wins tonight's game, he's guaranteed to win A BRAND NEW CAR -- plus another CY$100,000.
TGoJS: From Studio 63, welcome to the card game where high hands can bring high rewards. This is Net Poker. (audience cheers) And now here's the star of our show, Doug Morris!
(Doug walks out from behind the video poker screen)
Doug: Thank you, ghost of Jay Stewart. Hi everyone and welcome to what could be a big episode of Net Poker. Our champion's won a lot. But, if he plays his cards right and if Lady Luck really smiles on him, he could walk out of here with an extra quarter of a million plus that Jaguar. Here to introduce our players is D.J. Hamilton.
(audience cheers) (D.J. walks out wearing a pair of black jeans and a tuxedo shirt)
D.J.: Hi everyone.
Doug: Well, we know our champ. Who's wants to get in his way of winning that car and all that cyber-cash.
D.J.: Challenging Andy Silikovitz are Eddie Timanus and Marc Enyedy.

Doug: No offense, but when speaking about the Cosmo photo shoot, I think it's best we ask not what Mr. Ford was wearing. (audience laughs) After five questions, Eddie's tied with Andy; Marc's our leader with 40. Before we go to the video screen, let's spend a few moments in conversation with the players. Marc, tell us a little about yourself, please.
Marc: I'm Marc Enyedy, 21 years old, from Riverside, NJ. I work in Trenton for the New Jersey Treasury Department.
Doug: I bet the drive-in movie question earlier hit home. With that, I should note the questions are prepared well in advance. So we had no idea someone from Jersey would play a question about Jersey beforehand. Marc, welcome and we'll see if you can hang on to the lead at the end of this round. Now, I think everyone watching knows who Eddie is. But for anyone who doesn't know, tell us a little about yourself.
Eddie: I'm a sportswriter with US -- er -- a major national daily publication. (light laughter from the crowd) I've been married a little over a year to an unsuspecting Minnesota girl who came to the Virginia just for me. What was she thinking?!
Doug: She was thinking, "Hmm, I wonder what it's like to be married to a five-time Jeopardy! champion." (audience laughs and applauds) Among other reasons I'm sure. Anything else you'd like to add?
Eddie: Needless to say, I enjoy sports. Also music and playing games.
Doug: And by the way, we *can* say what publication he works for here, right? (floor director nods "yes") Thought so. He works for US News & World Report. (audience laughs) Only kidding. USA Today. Fine newspaper. We're glad to have you with us. And Andy, we know you're a professional Torah reader. You have more than 55-grand to your credit on our show. This is your swan song, win or lose. So, anything you'd like to say here?
Andy: I'll just say the traditional "Hi, mom!" If I win this game then I'll have more people to say hi to.
