Deuces Wild Poker

Doug: And we're back. Andy's got tons of cyber-cash and a new Jaguar XK8 to haul it away. And now, let's see if we can stuff that car with an extra CY$65,000. Andy, you know how Deuces Wild Poker works by now. But for any first-time viewers, here's what Andy's going to do...

Doug: We've randomly hidden 10 outlaw cards behind these 24 numbers. We have one outlaw on the top row, two outlaws on the second, three on the third and the bottom row houses four outlaws.

What Andy's about to do is pick one number from each row. Each time he does *not* draw an outlaw card, he wins a Deuce. As the name of this game implies, Deuces are wild and that means he can substitute it for anything when completing a five-card hand.

The more Deuces Andy has, the better the odds he'll win CY$20,000 -- and that's happened in his last two visits to the endgame. But, what we really want him to do, especially with this being his final visit to Deuces Wild Poker before the Quarter Million Playoff, is win four Deuces. When that happens, we forget about building a poker hand and pay him all the contents of the outlaw's jackpot...

Doug: ...which is now at CY$65,000. (audience cheers) We *really* want you to do it, Andy. We wish you the best of luck as we start at the top row. Among the numbers 1 through 6, there's just one outlaw. Avoid the outlaw and you win the Deuce of Spades. Which number?

Andy: 3

Doug: Number 3 to start. Do we start him with the Deuce of Spades?

(bing)

Doug: Good start.

(audience applause)

Doug: On to the next row. Numbers 7 through 12. We have two outlaws on the second row. Avoid them both and the Deuce of Hearts is yours.

Andy: 11

Doug: Double toothpicks. 11. What's there?

(bing)

Doug: No outlaw.

(audience applause)

Doug: Fifty-fifty time. Three outlaws on the third row. Pick a good number among 13 through 18 and you'll have three Deuces and a shot at CY$65,000 on the bottom row.

Andy: 14

Doug: 14 it is. Are we playing for 65-grand at the bottom?

(outlaw says "YEEEEE-hawwww!")(audience groans)

Doug: Darn it. No jackpot win. Well, let's look at the last row. 19 through 24. Four outlaws there. Only two good numbers. Pick one of those two and you win a total of three wild Deuces.

Andy: 22

Doug: Double deuce. Are we giving him another Deuce to play with in the next phase of the bonus game?

(bing)

Doug: You got it.

(audience applause)

Doug: Should we just give him the 20-grand now? (audience laughs and applauds) No? We gotta play this out? OK. Before we continue, where were the other nine outlaws?

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: 15, 16 or 18 were the numbers to go on that third row. OK, Andy, you know this drill by now...

Doug: ...we had you cut a 24-card deck during the break. As always, we're dealing with all the Aces, 10s, 9s and face cards. The first pair has been dealt out face down. As you know the better the hand you make, the more you win...

(audience laughs)

Doug: Heheh. Either way, the card on the RIGHT is what, Deej?

D.J.: WOW! Jack of Clubs.

(audience cheers)

Doug: All right. Once again, you're on pace for that royal flush.

Doug: If one of the next two cards from the top of the deck is another face card, 10 or Ace of Clubs and you draw it, it's CY$20,000 more.

Doug: Second and final pair's ready. Pick a card.

Doug: Ah, rats, what a way to wrap it up.

Doug: Well, that gives you four of a kind for the guaranteed CY$2000. Now, let's at the bright side as we total up the winnings. The car you won is worth CY$74,864. And in cyber-cash, you're going into our Quarter Million Playoff with...

Doug: A nice round CY$160,000.

(audience cheers)

Andy: Pretty good

Doug: A might nice payoff indeed. Speaking of "mighty nice payoff", someone *other* than Andy is going to play Deuces Wild Poker for a chance at...

Doug: ...CY$67,500. (more cheers) That's because with the one outlaw he found, we're adding CY$2500 more to the jackpot. (smooth jazz theme plays) Remember, Eddie and Marc are back on the next show due to our mistake. We'll see them along with one other player -- and we hope to see you too in our next game of Net Poker. Until then, make it a great day and keep the faith. See you soon.
