Joe: Man, that hurt. I'm just gonna have to lay down some grade-A smack with these cards. Let's have 4, 9, 10, 16, and 24.

Doug: And let's see what kind of smack you'll lay down...

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Well, three Aces. That's 15 points if you stopped here. But mathematically, you wouldn't come out on top. Now, a full house or better would give you the lead and with three Aces already in hand, you've got a good shot at it.

Joe: Leave us go fishin' for an Ace. Get rid of the 9 and Ol' John (the 9 of diamonds and the Jack of Diamonds) and let's have 2 and 6 in their place.

Doug: OK, hanging on to the Aces. What does 2 and 6 have?

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Oh, this isn't good. Trade in John and a 9 for another John and a cowboy.

JX

Doug: Best thing that could happen is that you tie for second place, Joe. Now, let's turn to the newest member of the group -- JX.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: The board's been reloaded. That means some or all of the cards have been moved to different positions on the board. Pick five numbers and we'll get going.

JX: 2, 7, 8, 9, 15

Doug: Mmm'kay, let's see what's lurking behind those numbers.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Well, you're starting off with three of a kind. That's 15 points and the lead if you stopped here. Or you may take your second turn. Either way, Andy gets possession after you.

JX: exchange 2 and 9 for 16 and 21

Doug: Smart move. Hanging on to the three Kings. What do add to those three Kings?

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Darn. No real improvement. But...

JX

Doug: You take the lead by 5 points. Champ, let's reset the board for ya.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Andy, you need a pair of Queens, Kings or Aces to tie the ballgame and then we roll the dice. Something better than a pair to win. A pair of Jacks or worse and JX wins.

Andy: 11, 16, 20, 21, 22

Doug: Let's have a look at what's behind those numbers...

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: ...a pair of Aces and a pair of 9s. That's 10 points and you'll take the win if you stopped here. But, if you're feeling adventurous, there's always that second turn.

Andy: I'll quit while I'm ahead

Doug: I kinda thought you would. You've won the first round.

Doug: ...select one letter in "POKER" and you'll collect whatever cyber-money's behind your letter.

Andy: Let's go with the K again

Doug: K again. Is five-grand behind there?

Doug: Nope. CY$1000.

Doug: Andy, we'll see you in the championship round of Joker Poker. Joe and JX, we'll see you after this break for Five-Card Poker. Stay tuned. You're watching Net Poker on the channel America trusts for... uh... wait, Fox may not like how I'm gonna finish that statement. Eh, we're back with more on VBS. How's that?
