Doug: BTW, at one point in time, the King of Hearts represented Charlemagne, the King of Clubs was Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar was represented by the King of Diamonds and the King of Spades was King David from Biblical times. In addition, the Heart King gets the nickname "suicide" because it looks like he's intentionally putting a sword through his head. OK, after five questions, Robert and Tom are tied for the lead, Tom only 10 points behind and now it's time to play for some bonus points. Deej reminds you guys again how it's done...

D.J.: All right, Doug. Robert, Tom and Noiel, behind the numbers, we have playing cards -- Ace through 9 of each of the four suits. You'll each take two turns at the screen. On your first turn, you'll pick five numbers and we'll reveal the cards behind your selections. If you're satisfied with that hand, end your possession and pass it on to the next player. If you think you can do better, you may trade in any or all of your cards for new ones. On your second turn, you're stuck with whatever you drew.

D.J.: Remember, you need to draw at least a pair of Queens to win any additional points. If you end up with a pair of Jacks, 10s or 9s or have no other combination listed here, you'll lose 5 points.

Doug: All right, Deej. Thanks. Tom, you'll go to bat first. And since we have a tie between Robert and Tom, the champ will play next -- the champ being Robert. Tom, the video screen awaits your choices of your first five numbers.

Tom: 4 7 15 18 21

Doug: OK, let's reveal those numbers...

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Oooh. Not good. A pair of 9s. You'd lose five points if you stopped here. So you might as well take your second turn. Tell me which cards you'd like to discard and then select as many replacements.

Tom: Keep the pair of nines... Replace with 3 8 14

Doug: OK, the Ace and face cards go into the dumpster and are replaced with...

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: ...a pair of Kings and another Ace. That's two pair good for 10 points.

Doug: Three-way tie for now. Tom you're going to have to hope the others each lose 5. Robert, our champ, your up to bat now as we reset the board...

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: ...remember, each time we reset the board, it means some or all of the cards have moved to different positions on the board. Now's your time to pick 5 numbers.

Robert: 1, 3, 7, 12, 18

Doug: And 1, 3, 7, 12 and 18 give you...

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Three Aces. (audience applause) Three of a kind is worth 15 points if you stopped here. Or, if you think you can do better, trade in some cards for some others.

Robert: I'll drop the 9 with 22.

Doug: Dropping the 9 for 22. Interesting strategy. Let's see...

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Heart 9 turns into the Club 9. Still, 15 points for you.
