Round 2 Doug: We were talking about that last one. Inspiration from that puzzle comes from an old friend. The joke started, "Why did the fortune teller wear pink?" And the punchline -- "So that she could easily -- predict the fuchsia."
ROBERT DAVID Doug: Let's check the score -- just to make sure it didn't change while we were in break. (light laughter from the crowd) And it didn't. David *still* leads 250 to nothing. Robert, fear not. The stakes go higher from here.
Doug: Speaking of higher stakes, Scarlett, care to tell us about what one of these fellers could win before going for 50- or 100-thou?
Scarlett: Sure thing, Doug, Robert and David. One of the prizes at stake on the winner's board tonight is A BRAND NEW CAR!

Scarlett: Step in to luxury when you take to the wheel of the Mercedes-Benz C350 Sport Sedan. Comes with a 3.5-liter, 268 horsepower engine, seven-speed automatic transmission, six-disc CD changer, 1000-watt sound system and much more. A terrific prize worth CY$40,650.

Scarlett: And now, back to Doug Morris and Net Definition.
Doug: Thanks, Scarlett. Before we start Round 2, let's chat with our players. Starting with the champ, Robert. We learned on the last show that you're a game show blogger. Thoughts on the young season so far.
Robert: "Jeopardy!" has gotten off to a strong start thanks to a six-time champion named Roger Craig who won over $230K and Kara Spak becoming at least a five-champion just this week.
"The Price is Right" will be introducing quite a few Pricing Games that have been refurbished this season, and they've just done so for Plinko and 10 Chances. if I've overheard correctly, we should see new boards for 3 Strikes and Check Game later this season.
However, Fingers will be leaving the show's staff at the end of 2010.
Finally, "Wheel of Fortune" has added two new categories named Same Letter and What's That Song -- with the first new $3K bonus question category being introduced in a long time) --but they've kinda gotten off to a slow start, although things got really intense last night during the bonus round, when Lisha's Bonus Wheel spin was once space off the $1M envelope, but she didn't solve her bonus puzzle anyway.
Doug: Wow, talk about close calls. Lots to look forward to -- and we do wish Fingers lots of luck. I can still remember when they were in the midst of a model search, Fingers did a bit of prize modeling.
David, you were the first to let us know about one of the longest serving net hosts around here -- Alan Mitsugi. How's he doing?
David: Well the last report I had was from two days ago from his girlfriend. She told me that the transplanted kidney IS functioning now, and he's holding his own. But she also said that it may be a while until he's out of the hospital, so all we can do is hope.
But I know he misses hosting, so we're all pulling for him both health wise, and that he returns to us to continue his netgaming career.
Doug: Understood, completely. Alan, we're still thinking of you. Let's move on with our game. Robert, you lost the last round -- so you get first crack at this definition.
Scarlett: He's a bank robber.
Doug: He's a bank robber. Robert, give a letter away, please.
Robert: Give the Z.
Doug: And there's no Z. You may now take a letter.
Robert: Take the M.
Doug: First letter, first word.
Doug: With that M, can you take the lead with this? He's a bank robber.
Robert: I think it's MAN OF STEAL.
Doug: Couldn't wait to blurt it out. That's right.
Doug: Just like that, Robert takes the lead.
ROBERT DAVID Doug: Score is 500-250 in Robert's favor. We up the ante to CY$750 in this next round. Obviously, the game can't be won on this round alone -- since the game is CY$1500.
But, if you win this round, you have an important choice to make for Round 4. So let's move on to our next definition.
