We're about to start Game 17 of Net Definition. Some notes first...

\ Robert McBride is the current champ with one win and CY$17,000.

\ If you were a contestant in the main game of Game 14, 15 or 16, as always, we ask that you let allow someone else entry to the punnery.

...now to the question. The player closest to the right answer, high or low, plays against Robert. Here's the question.

On May 21, 2010, Google celebrated Pac-Man's 30th anniversary with a fully-functional game in its doodle logo. How many points did I score the first time I tried it? Please respond to the nearest multiple of 10 points.

(time passes)

Took a little getting used to -- but I racked up a cool...

(ding)

...14,660. The bad part: Geoff Edwards wasn't around to root me on. Oh well. Who's the closest?

David Hammond	11,710

All right, a new player in David Hammond. It's David versus Robert on Net Definition -- in a smidge.

======================================================================

Scarlett Gray: "Rex Ryan's Cuss Words" (audience laughs) will not
be seen tonight -- because we just don't have the time to bleep them
out. So, instead, we bring you a game with words we *can* use on the
air.

(theme plays)

Scarlett Gray: From CDM Enterprises, Net Definition. Customers of Apple Computer's products.

Scarlett: Solution...

(audience groans)

Scarlett: ...and our solution to fun with the pun on VBS is Net Definition. And now, iIntroduce the host, Doug Morris!

(audience cheers)

Doug: "iIintroduce the host". Like that one. Welcome to Net Definition -- the game of puns and word play. Let's welcome aboard our players for this day's game.

ROBERT
DAVID

Doug: Robert McBride returns with one victory and CY$17,000 to his credit. He defends his crown against David Hammond.

(audience cheers)

Doug: We'll chat later -- but let's get you into the game.

Doug: The way we play these days, the first round is worth CY$250. The next is worth CY$500. Then we play for CY$750 in Round 3. If necessary, the fourth round is worth CY$1250. A game is CY$1500 -- and the player who reaches that goal earns a chance to take on the winner's board -- and then plays the A to Z Round for CY$50,000.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Challenger goes first. David, that's you. But first, we need to get the definition from Scarlett.
