At long last, Net Definition's up and running for the first time in 2009. Some notes before we start...
\ Two players -- Andy Silikovitz and Michael Clifford -- are in the Mega Playoff for CY$1,000,000. Want in on the tournament? Just win this and the next two games and you're in the running.
\ We retired a champion on the previous episode. So we're looking for two players. Please keep in mind if you played in Game 6, 7 or 8, sit on your hands and let someone else in on the fun with the pun.
\ We'll try, but can't guarantee, to include an audience game in this episode.
...now to that qualifier. The two players closest to the right answer, high or low, get to play. The closer of the two will play first in Round 1.
Question time...
On September 6, 2007, at 4:00pm Central, we watched a GSN rerun of "Family Feud", which originally aired on ABC. The first round's question was, "Name something people raise and lower." How many people out of the 100 surveyed said the number one answer of "Flags"?
(time passes)
And the time's up. Survey *said*...
...23. And for the perverted minds in the crowd, no, this question wasn't played in the round where the stakes were tripled, OK?
Now, who's the closest?
Ian Laudato 34It's Ian Laudato. You'll play first -- and play against...
Jay Cross 35...Jay Cross. Thanks to everyone else for playing. Net Definition's comin' at ya.
====================================================================== Rich Jeffries: "The Bong Show" starring Michael Phelps (audience laughs) will not be seen today -- in order that we may bring you a show in which only the *stakes* are high. ======================================================================
Rich: From CDM Enterprises, Net Definition. Heavy laundry loads in D.C.
Rich: Solution...
Rich: ...and our solution to fun with the pun on VBS is Net Definition. Now, to present *his own* economic stimulus -- our host, Doug Morris!
Doug: Ah, you bet, Rich. Thanks and helloooooo, everybody. Welcome to Net Definition. Last time we were together, we retired an undefeated champion. So we have two challengers, in effect.
IAN JAY Doug: And they are Ian Laudato and Jay Cross.
Doug: Let's explain how we play Net Definition. Our players take turns giving away letters to their opponents -- and then taking them for themselves.
When a player's turn starts, he'll give one letter away to the opposition. As long as he doesn't give away a letter that appears in the answer, he maintains control and then takes one for himself.
When a letter in the answer is exposed, the player who was given or has taken the letter gets a chance to guess. A correct solution wins the round and some cyber-money.
