CY$250 Round
Doug: We're about to start our first round worth CY$250. The next round pays CY$500 to the victor. The third round, we play for CY$750. And, if necessary, we go to a fourth round worth CY$1250.
A game is CY$1500 -- and the first player to reach that goal wins the right to play our A to Z Round for a possible CY$50,000. (audience cheers) But if any player sweeps the first three rounds, we play a doubleheader of the endgame -- where up to CY$100,000 can be won.
Doug: Challenger, as always, starts. In this case, it's Matt. Here's that first definition.
Rich: Casanova was one.
Doug: Casanova was one. All right, Matt, give a letter to Michael -- one you do not want.
Matt: I will give away the X.
Doug: No X. Now take a letter you think can help you.
Matt: I will have the E.
Doug: There are three E's.
Doug: And they mean you get first guess in this round. Answer correctly -- and you take CY$250. Casanova was one.
Matt: I have to pass.
Doug: Pass gives control to the champ.
Michael: Give away the Z.
Doug: And there's no Z. What letter will you take?
Michael: Take the T.
Doug: Me thinks there are two.
Doug: There are -- and you're smiling again, Michael. For CY$250, Casanova was one.
Michael: THE ACE OF HEARTS.
Doug: He figured it out.
MICHAEL MATT Doug: Michael is now CY$1250 away from a berth in our tournament of champions. Can Matt derail his winning ways? Find out -- as Net Definition rolls on after this.
