CY$250 Round
Doug: We're about to start the first round worth CY$250. The next round pays CY$500 to the victor. Third round is worth CY$750. And the final round, if we need it, is worth CY$1250. A game is CY$1500 -- and the first player to reach that goal wins the game and plays the A to Z Round for up to CY$50,000. (audience cheers) But if a player sweeps the first three rounds of the game, we play a double shot of A to Z for 100-grand.
Doug: Lori, you go first. You'll have control at the first definition.
Rich: A rabbit in a 4th of July parade.
Doug: A rabbit in a 4th of July parade. Lori, give a letter away to Michael -- one you do not want.
Lori: Z
Doug: There's no Z. Now take a letter you think you can use.
Lori: R
Doug: Believe we have two R's.
Doug: One R in each word. Lori, when you take a letter that appears in the solution at least once, you're entitled to one guess. So, for CY$250 and the first round, the definition is -- a rabbit in a 4th of July parade.
Lori: Pass
Doug: Over to Michael, now, to give away a letter.
Michael: Give away the Q.
Doug: No Q. Take a letter.
Michael: Take the E.
Doug: Think we have two of those as well.
Doug: We do. With an E and an R side by side in each word, can you take the CY$250? Definition again -- a rabbit in a 4th of July parade.
Michael: That rabbit would be an "AMERICAN HOPPER".
Doug: Yes it would!
Doug: Yup, and when that American hopper was in the parade, it all made for a hare-raising experience.
MICHAEL LORI Doug: Michael leads CY$250 to none. We'll be back for the CY$500 round -- after this.
