CY$1250 Round Doug: We're back on Net Definition. Let's let the scoreboard tell the story.
ANDY WILL Doug: Tie score at 750. This next round is worth CY$1250 and it takes CY$1500 to win. Obviously, the winner of this round will win the game with CY$500 to spare.
Andy is playing for more. If he wins this game, that's win number three, a car and CY$100,000. Will's going to try and put a stop to all that -- and become champion himself.
Andy, Will, good luck and play carefully -- because here comes the deciding definition.
Rich: He opened a savings account.
Doug: He opened a savings account. Now, as I mentioned earlier, if Will won the CY$750 round, he'd have a choice to make for *this* round. And the decision is this.
Will, would you like to give the first letter of the round away to Andy and possibly take the next for yourself? Or -- do you want Andy to give away the first letter of the round to you and then possibly see him take the next letter for himself?
Will: I'm going to try to get lucky and take this one myself.
Doug: Very well. Start by giving Andy a letter.
Will: Give away a zed.
Doug: No zed or Z. Take a letter.
Will: I would like an A.
Doug: Well...
Doug: ...just the one A. Is it enough to complete the comeback? He opened a savings account.
Will: Unfortunately, it's not enough.
Doug: All right. Control goes to Andy now to give away a letter for the first time in this round.
Andy: I'll give the Q -- but not the U.
Doug: No Q -- and I won't comment on the U.
Andy: I'll take the golf gadget or a drink from a kettle. T.
Doug: No T either. Second time in a row the T didn't work for the champ. Back to Will.
Will: I'll give away a J.
Doug: Will -- you just gave the champ the first letter of the first word.
(ding) (scattered "whoos" from the crowd)
Doug: Andy, if you solve this correctly, you win the game, the car and the hundred-grand. *If not*, you still maintain control and, at the least, give away a letter to Will.
But can you win it all right now? He opened a savings account.
(time passes) (buzz buzz)
Doug: OK, you can't. But that was a free shot. So you get to give away a letter to Will.
Andy: I'll give the X.
Doug: No X. Take a letter
Andy: Take the eye (I).
Doug: I spy with my little eye...
Doug: ...three I's. You now have letters in all but the second word -- and another shot at an undefeated championship. He opened a savings account.
Andy: Jim Rome is Earning!
Doug: Jim Rome...

Doug: ...just earned you CY$100,000 and a new car!
(bells; audience cheers; The Mad Dash victory music plays) (balloons and confetti fall)
ANDY WILL Doug: What a finish, folks. Andy Silikovitz, our first undefeated champion of Net Definition. (more cheers) And -- because you're the first undefeated champion, you have the honor of cleaning up this mess.
Doug: I'm just kidding. We'll tally up your winnings thus far and then play the A to Z Round. Will, thanks for a great game. You may have lost this war -- but you're the only one of Andy's three opponents to have won a battle against him. You're going home with CY$750 plus some great parting gifts backstage. A big hand for Will Schmarder!
Doug: Well, Andy, to the victor go the spoils -- and here comes your first spoil.
(D.J. enters from stage left driving car) (new car music plays)
Rich: For your driving enjoyment, IT'S A BRAND NEW CAR! (audience cheers) The Cadillac Deville. This elegant sedan comes with marvelous amenities such as a 4.6-liter Northstar engine, automatic tranmission, 16-inch chrome wheels, AM/FM/CD stereo, safety and security package and much more.
And speaking of "much more", for winning your third straight game, you've also won CY$100,000!
Rich: That brings your cyber-cash total on Net Definition, Andy, to CY$139,000! (more cheers) Congratulations!
ANDY WILL Doug: Wow! A new Caddy and 139-grand. (theme plays) Unfortunately, the stakes in the A to Z Round pale in comparison to what Andy just won -- but see if he can ice his cake with CY$50,000 more -- right after this.
