CY$500 Round

Doug: Welcome back to Net Definition. Andy's back to his old tricks of the quick solve. He leads the game 250-0 -- but the game is young. Let's meet our players -- and say hi to Will, first.

Will: Well, I'm the sucker born at 2:17 for playing Andy while he's still champ. (light laughter from the crowd) No actually, I'm from New York State, and I just accepted a job as a Systems Engineer for a major government contractor.

Doug: Ah, well good luck in that new job and here in the game. Andy, with this being your third appearance, we can no longer afford to keep you. (audience laughs) Seriously, we give folks on the verge an undefeated championship a chance to send shoutouts to friends and loved ones.

Andy: Well first, a new car plus CY$100,000 would make a nice birthday present. I'll be 40 on May 1.

Doug: Ah, well happy early birthday.

Andy: I'd like to say hi to Mom and Dad, Arlene and Ron; my brother Harvey and Mike Graczyk, Dean Scungio, Eddie Timanus, Jay Cross, Tom Hornikel, John Montagnino, Mat Tanga, David Hammond and Mark Liotta. I apologize if I forgot anyone.

Doug: Well, that's our show for tonight. (audience laughs) No, seriously, we've got a ways to go. Will, you're trailing -- so you'll start the second round. Here's the next definition.

(FF reveal sfx)

Rich: He won a chug-a-lug contest.

Doug: He won a chug-a-lug contest. All right, Will, give a letter away you don't want.

Will: Alright, I'm going to give Andy an X.

Doug: No X. Take a letter.

Will: And I'm going to play a little strategy since I have a VERY faint idea and go for an obscure letter in my guess, a K.

Doug: No obscure K. No chance to guess. We go over to Andy.

Andy: I'll give the Q.

Doug: No Q. Take a letter.

Andy: I believe I know it so I'll take the B. Two B's, or not two B's -- that is the question.

Doug: Well -- let's see.

(ding)

Doug: Well, that answers Andy's question. Question is do you know this for CY$500? He won a chug-a-lug contest.

Andy: The Biggest Boozer. Got beer?

Doug: You can buy a lot of beer for CY$500. You're right *again*.

(ding) (audience applause)

Doug: Oh and the biggest boozer's name? Our not-so-esteemed former colleague Fred Scott. (audience laughs) He's the only man I know who graduated college with a 4.0 blood alcohol level. (more laughs; applause)

ANDY
WILL

Doug: Well, Andy, it's down to this. If you win this *or* the next round, you win the game, a new car and CY$100,000. Will, you must win this *and* the next round. And should Will win this round, he'll have a choice to make ahead of the final round.

Let's go right in -- to an important definition.
