CY$250 Round Doug: Andy, you're the challenger. You get first crack at this definition.
Rich: He searches for pro football talent.
Doug: He searches for pro football talent. Andy, give a letter away you do not want.
Andy: I'll give the Q.
Doug: No Q. Now take a letter you think you can use.
Andy: I'll take the T.
Doug: There is one T.
Doug: Last letter in the last word. That gives you a chance to guess and win CY$250 and this first round. He searches for pro football talent.
Andy: An Eagle Scout.
Doug: That is *RIGHT*.
(ding) (audience applause) (a few woos from the crowd)
Doug: A scout for the Philadelphia Eagles searches for talent for the team.
BRIAN ANDY Doug: Andy, how did you get that so quickly?
Andy: Well first I thought the last word was agent, but that wasn't working so I thought maybe it was scout. The first word was probably "An." So since it was football-related, and the second word was five letters and had to start with a vowel, I figured it had to be Eagle. By the way, I'm an Eagles fan since my parents are from Philly. I was in the Boy Scouts, but I never made it to Eagle Scout.
Doug: Ahhhh. And he's from Jersey. We should note we plan these well in advance. Perfect timing in Andy's case. Well, one round's in the books. Andy leads 250 to nothing and -- this poor floor director's showing me "stretch" ever since Andy won 250. (light laughter from the crowd) Tell ya what, let's take a break and we'll find ways to fill time, OK?
