A To Z Round

Doug: All right, Andy. Time for your first of two A to Z Rounds. We'll play these back-to-back because of the clean sweep.

When an A to Z Round starts, Rich will give you the bonus definition -- and then I will give you the letters one at a time in alphabetical order -- from A to Z. The moment I give you a letter that appears at least once in the solution, I'll stop and give you a chance to solve. A correct answer earns CY$1000 for each letter unrevealed.

However, here's where the 50-grand comes into play. After we give you the definition, I'll give you a chance to solve with no letters given to you. Give us the correct solution with no letters exposed -- and I'll give you CY$50,000. (audience cheers) Do that in both A to Z Rounds and that's CY$100,000.

(more cheers)

Doug: So good luck, Andy -- as Rich gives you the first bonus definition.

(FF reveal sfx)

Rich: This makes it hard to play Monopoly.

Doug: There you have it. A four-word answer with no letters exposed. One time only for CY$50,000, this makes it hard to play Monopoly.

Andy: No answer yet.

(buzz buzz)

Doug: No answer yet? OK, we'll help by giving you the A.

(ding)

Doug: Oh, and that's all we'll give you -- for now. Thirteen blanks yet to fill. They represent CY$13,000. I'll give you 13-grand if you can give me the right solution. This makes it hard to play Monopoly.

Andy: That doesn't help at all... still no answer.

(buzz buzz)

Doug: OK, let's see if we get more help with B (pause) C.

(ding)

Doug: Just one C. Prize goes down to CY$12,000. Nice payday, still. This makes it hard to play Monopoly.

Andy: That helps a little but not enough... no guess.

(buzz buzz)

Doug: Very well. We go to -- D.

(ding)

Doug: Man alive. At the rate we're going, we may make up the huge time difference after all. But don't let time push you, Andy. You're playing for CY$11,000 now. This makes it hard to play Monopoly.

Andy: Pair of dice lost!

Doug: There ya got it!

(bells; audience applause; The Mad Dash victory music plays)

Doug: If the dice are missing, your doggie token's going nowhere fast. And that's why it makes it hard to play Monopoly. OK, total winnings so far: CY$12,500. Let's see if you bump that total up to more than 62-grand. We move on to the next definition.
