Scarlett: You just busted -- that's not nice.
It's chance you take on -- Hot Dice.

Scarlett: From CDM Enterprises, a division of Trax Productions, here's your host for Hot Dice, Doug Morris.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Thank you, Scarlett. Helloooooo, everybody and welcome to Hot Dice. One of our returning players is on a hot streak -- having one five straight games. The other -- is looking to start a winning streak of his own.

A warm welcome back to Nikolai Wataja and Joseph Bohan.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Nikolai has won CY$78,250. (more cheers) He's looking to win the next three games straight to have another shot at Mega Roll. Nikolai, on the last show, we should've given you a chance to send shout outs to friends and loved ones before you took that Mega Roll. We'll make that good now.

Nikolai: I'd like to say hi to my fellow broadcasters at Confederation College, including those who are on placement elsewhere, and to my family. Hello everyone.

Doug: Good luck to you and your fellow students. I'm sure your family's quite proud. And Joseph, we didn't get a chance to meet you on the last show. Tell the nice folks about yourself.

Joseph: I'm Joseph Bohan from Davie, Florida, currently working toward my Teaching Assistant Qualification at Sheridan Tech. To me, the finest things in life are Frank Sinatra music, Star Trek, Touhou Project, and of course, game shows.

Doug: Frank, games and "Star Trek". Can't go wrong with any of them. Let's get set with a new game.

(ding)

Doug: In Hot Dice, each round starts with a toss-up question. The winner of the question will then have the right to build up a pot of cyber-money. After six rounds, we play a catch-up round. The player who banks more cyber-money at the end of the game wins it -- and then goes on to the Bonus Bonanza where more than CY$50,000 can be won.

(audience cheers)

Doug: So, Joseph, Nikolai, hands on the buzzers, please. Here's the first question of a new game.

Y.A. Tittle, Y.A. Little or Y.U. Little. What then-quarterback for LSU was named MVP of the 1947 Cotton Bowl Classic?

(Nikolai buzzes in)

Doug: Nikolai

Nikolai: Y.A. Tittle.

Doug: That's right. (audience applause) Y.U. Little, apparently, is also known as the Springfield strangler. (a few laughs from the crowd) Nikolai, you know this by now, you've earned a free roll of the dice for winning the question. Go ahead.

(Nikolai rolls)

(scattered cheers)

Doug: Yeah, big 10. On the free roll, we automatically seed the pot with CY$100 per point or, in this case, CY$1000.

Nikolai, you're well aware of how this works from here. From now until the end of the round, every roll involves a risk. If you roll a 7, that's a bust and you forfeit everything in the pot.

Doug: Double decision board is now active -- given you the option of having CY$100 per point added to the pot -- or whatever's hiding in the corresponding space. Some spaces hide more cyber-money, pleasant surprises and not so pleasant surprises -- including busts.

Right now, would you like to bank CY$1000 -- or roll the bones again and try for more?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Nikolai: It's pretty early, so I'll give it another roll.

(Nikolai rolls)

Doug: Well -- just like that, an early end to Round 1. Sorry about that.

Doug: We're about to start Round 2. By the way, for any new viewers, we play six rounds in all -- followed by a catch-up round. If necessary, we play a tie-breaker question after Round 6 or the catch-up to find our winner.

Players, hands back on the buzzers. New toss-up question.

On the TV series "The Newsroom", Jane Fonda plays the CEO of the parent company of an all-news network. Before that and in real life, was she married to Ted Turner, Rupert Murdoch or Jeff Zucker?

(Nikolai buzzes in)

Doug: Nikolai.

Nikolai: Ted Turner.

Doug: That's it. (audience applause) Dice are hot for you again. Roll 'em, please.

(Nikolai rolls)

(scattered cheers)

Doug: And -- seems like I've seen this movie before. A 10 on the free roll for CY$1000. Do you think you'll follow up with another 7? If so, now's the time to bank. If not, roll 'em again.

(audience shouts suggestions)

Nikolai: I'll roll 'em, and I hope I don't bust this time.

(Nikolai rolls)

Doug: And -- better than a bust. Four for CY$400 more. Want to bank CY$1400 or go for more?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Nikolai: It's good to at least have something, so I'll freeze.

Doug: Or bank, in this case.

(ding)

Doug: CY$1400 on your side of the ledger. Joseph yet to score. Round 3 commences with this.

North Dakota or South Dakota. Where are you going to find the city of Fargo?

(Nikolai buzzes in)

Doug: And it's Nikolai.

Nikolai: North Dakota.

Doug: That's the state. (audience applause) Joseph, I see ya trying to buzz in. Nikolai's hotter on the trigger. Roll 'em, please.

(Nikolai rolls)

(scattered groans)

Doug: Ohh -- lovely. Snake eyes. It's a free roll -- so no double decision to make. Nikolai, I have to ask -- wanna bank 200 or roll again?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Nikolai: It's obvious with this one. I've got to roll.

(Nikolai rolls)

Doug: Oh -- goodness. Another bust. Well, better to have two bills go down the drain than ten earlier.

And quickly we're in Round 4. Joseph's back in the game. Both of you get to tackle this.

In 2012, one of the stars of "The Sopranos" told Vanity Fair magazine he hated the way the series ended. This star played Tony Soprano on the HBO series. Are we talking about James Gandolfini, Michael Imperioli or Steve Schirripa?

(Joseph buzzes in)

Doug: Joseph.

Joseph: James Gandolfini.

Doug: That's right. (audience applause) Joseph, dice are hot for you for the first time in the game.

(Joseph rolls)

(scattered cheers)

Doug: And what a great free roll. The yo-leven for CY$1100. Bank now and you'll only be CY$300 shy of the lead. Roll again -- and you have the sevens and the busts on the double decision board to beware of.

(audience shouts suggestions)

Joseph: Roll 'em, Doug. Come on, doubles!

(Joseph rolls)

Doug: Woah -- close to a bust. A 6 brings the pot up to CY$1700. Wanna keep going or bank?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Joseph: As you like to call it, the infamous one more time, Doug.

(Joseph rolls)

(audience cheers)

Doug: And with that roll, you crack the CY$2000 barrier. Now, I ask the infamous question. Was that really one more time? Bank the 2600 or roll again?

HOT DICE CONTINUES
