Doug: Joseph.
Joseph: North Dakota?
Doug: That's the state. (audience applause) Now it's your chance to take back the lead. Free roll first.

Doug: And you start with a 5 for CY$500. Now remember, we have a sixth round coming up. Unless the sixth round ends in a tie, a catch-up round follows. If we do have a tie at the end of Round 6, then we play one toss-up question to find our winner.

Joseph: I'll roll again. C'mon, puppy paws!

Doug: Far from puppy feet. A 6 for CY$600 more. If you bank now, you'll take the lead. A lucky roll could give you a bigger lead.

Joseph: No, I need a bigger lead than this. Come on, doubles!

Doug: Well, no double fives -- but double twos. It's double decision time. Would you like for us to add CY$400 to the pot...
Doug: ...or would you like what's hiding in the double 2 screen on the board? If there's cyber-money there, we add that much to the pot instead of CY$400; if there's a surprise, we follow the directions; if there's a bust, no score for the round.
(audience shouts suggestions)
Joseph: I'll take the board.
Doug: All right, going for the double 2 screen. Let's see what happens.
Doug: A bust. CY$1100 go down the drain.

Doug: All right, Round 6. If Joseph doesn't bank exactly CY$800 in this round, the catch-up round follows. Important question coming up.

Doug: Nikolai.
Nikolai: No.
Doug: He graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Superior -- far away from Austria. You're right. (audience applause) Go ahead and take a free roll.

Doug: A 7 -- but it's a free roll. So no bust. We start the pot with CY$700. Now, Nikolai, regardless of how much distance you manage to put between yourself and Joseph, he'll always have at least one way to catch-up to you after this round.
With that said -- bank the 700 or roll again?

Doug: While you think it over, we'd be in remiss if we didn't reshuffle the double decision board.
Doug: Sorry we forgot to shuffle -- but no double's been rolled since the end of Round 5. So everything's on the up and up. Nikolai, what'cha wanna do?
Nikolai: Well, even if I lose, it's only loss number one, so I'll give it another roll.

Doug: Wow, an 8 virtually doubles the pot. Wanna keep rolling or bank CY$1500?
(audience shouts suggestions)
Nikolai: I'll bank.
Doug: He's gonna bank.

Doug: And with that, Nikolai's up to CY$4600. Joseph has CY$2300.
It's catch-up time. Joseph, you get one roll of the dice -- the value of which you'll instantly bank.
This is not a free roll -- so if you roll a 7, you'll bust. You don't lose anything but you won't gain anything.
The good news is the double decision board is active *and*...
Doug: ...we shuffle in some special elements on the board including "double your score" and "tie the leader". Considering the score at the moment, "double your score" is just as good as "tie the leader".
We also have at least one amount that will give you an extra roll of the dice.
